It would depend on when the divorce was granted also you say the person "needs" them? I take it this was for a living person due to it being on this board |

Roy, thank you for your reply. The person is taking citizenship of New Zealand and has been told she needs both her marriage and divorce papers in order to get this. As she is so far away it would be easier for me to try and get the information she needs to send to her. I will pass on the link and she can see for herself what she needs to do. |

She needs to apply for a copy of her ***Decree Absolute***,,,,thats the only piece of proof of divorce she can get,,,,,,, |

If your friend can remember the date to within a couple of months then it would be better to apply to the court where the 'decree absolute' was granted the charge is only small abt £5/10 but if they need to do a search it can cost around £25/30 |
