im looking for a chris hodges from birmingham or a relative of same he might not be alive now as i am 66years old now but i can remember my mother marie fulton as she was then bring me over to england when i was 8 year old that would mean i was born 1946 just after the war and i often wondered if this man was my dad and did he serve in the armed forces hope i can get some closer on this because its always on my mind |

You need to pin down a yob, even if approx. One would suspect he was born in a similar era to your mother. |

Eunice has Marie Fulton from Dunmurry in her tree, and Eunice born there also for reference. (About 5 miles outside Belfast?) |

my mum and i are from northern ireland a little village called dunmurry i was born out of wedlock never told who my father was no name was ever mentioned i do know he was in the armed forces and when i was 8yrs old my mother took me to england and we met a man called chris hodges the place we stayed was in kings heath birmingham we stayed with a mrs james just facing a lovely park ; we were there for a year and i went to school just round the corner cant remember the name of the school im 66 now so i was born after the war i always wondered if this chris was my father my mum has passed away now and her sister and friends that might of had information but it was like a closed shop no one would give me any information my dads name wasnt on my birth certificate but its just something thats always on my mind its like half of you is missing |

If you look in free bmd for births in Birmingham (Birmingham (1837-1924), Birmingham (1932 onw), Birmingham North, Birmingham South) and Kings Norton from 1915 to 1930, you only have 2 births with that name, Christopher E in 1918 and Christopher G in 1927. |

I wonder what park it was! Our local parks in Kings Heath were Kings Heath Park (not very original!) and Uffculme Park, now Highbury. I went to school just round the corner from KH Park, Colmore Road Primary, so needless to say this did make me wonder if it was this school you mean. There is a long road which runs the length of this park called Avenue Road. d. |
