Is this her married or maiden name?

EDIT I can see a birth 1947 for a Brenda P. Gibbs, would that be her? When and where did you last see her?

gibbs was her maiden name jan..shes my birth mother so ive never met her

jane x
she named me maria louise gibbs..but my adopted name became jane maria horton

Well, she is the only Brenda Gibbs born in the right area around that time. Have you got access to your full adoption records, or an address from your birth cert?
I shall PM the birth record I have found in case it turns out to be of use.

OK! Have PM'd all births I can find which are 1940-50 in Norfolk and surrounding areas. I can only see three.
If you find an address, I suggest you check out the electoral register to see if anyone else was living there.
Have you put your name on the National Adoption Register, in case she or any other family members are trying to find you?
