David,

It looks like you have a half sibling? Are you aware of that? Might even be another one also.

Also, your birth is registered under Hull as well as Davies so she probably never married Joseph.

Joseph Davies; ( My father.) Born:??/??/????.

Theresa Wyatt;( My mother.) Born: 02/07/1921, Llantrisant, Pontypridd.
( Married Alfred E. Hull; Aircraftsman, 14/09/1939, Westonsuper Mare, Somerset.)

According to my birth certificate, on the 18th April 1948, my father was employed as an Aircraft Fitter and was residing with my mother, who was then referring to herself as Theresa Davies, in Stoke's Croft, Bristol.
Sometime, not too long, thereafter, I was placed into the care of the local authority. I have absolutely no memory or knowledge of my father.
The one memory I hold of my mother is, that sometime c1951 / 52, I was escorted by a Child Care Nurse to an office, near the Corn Exchange, in Central Bristol and spent 30 minutes with my mother, during which,
time, amongst other things, I recall drawing her a picture of a cat," without a tail? ".

Unfortunately, I neither saw or heard from her again and ended up spending the next 12 years in foster care.
There are no records available, with any of the relevant local authorities, of the why, when, or where I was placed into care or of my time spent in care, infact I recall, around c1966 being told; That all records of the event were destroyed in a fire;

I know there is a possibility of them still being alive, although they'd be in their nineties by now.
I wouldn't know where to begin in tracing my father; There were and are rather a lot of people named Joseph Davies and I have not been able to locate a death notice for my mother, in her case things are
a bit easier as her christian name is spelt Theresa, not the more common variant; Teresa.

I am now wondering if anyone in the Genes community can be of assistance and suggest something
I could do next in my attempt to gain any further knowledge of these two.

Thankyou, David J Davies.

When I first started my tree, I got a " Hot Match " for my mother;
I was very excited, for the first time, something positive about her.
But, to no avail, turns out, I believe, to be a first cousin first removed or something along those lines and probably never met or spoke to one another.
