As has been posted on here that couple had another child in 1958 so probably unlikely, as your grandfather remarried that same year. |

oh yeah id forgotten about that.. think i have hit a wall. although when i looked on freebmd and cross referenced it there was no record of them having a child after 1945 so dont really know where to go from here. |

Freebmd only goes up to around the 1940s for most areas Sophie, the later births are being transcribed and will appear there eventually... but they are already on here and other sites to which some of us subscribe. |

Have you found your grandfather's marriage cert yet? it may help, as aside from possibly saying whether he was previously married it will give you his occupation. |

yeah i found it and it said previous marriage dissolved. he was a propeller shaper. also he married my grandmother in 1958 and apparently they had been together approximately 14 years before. but with him being born in 1919 i dont think that he would of been married before 1940 as he was in the army as well. |

well if he was with your grandmother 14 years before they married it is likely that he married and had the children between 1937 and 1945...there are only a few marriages for Frederick Court during that period... and you can probably discount the one in Durham because of the later child. |

well talking to family we dont know whether when he split from his 1st wife she then found out she was pregnant still leaving the one in 1945 a possiblity. and 14 years is again an approximate so it may have been less than that |

Perhaps you had better buy some certificates for confirmation, or to rule out. |
