I think two of the children were at least born in England as I see them at a young age on a passanger list to Bombay. I can't image that they are still there? I was given a death date for John Alfred of 1970 in England. However, I am not sure if this is the same John Alfred (apparently there might be two of them?).
The birth dates of the children (which I think are correct): Clare Margaret 1941, Michael John 1944, Valentine Mary Rose 1948. They would be my mother's cousins. My mother is no longer alive, so she can not provide any details.

Thank you so much for this help! I will follow up on all of it.
Yes, HCG Morice had four children.
Mary Valentine B 1908 D 1909. John Alfred born 1910, Peter James 1911-1942, Michael Andrew, my grandfather, 1913 -1944.
Both Michael and Peter died in the war. Peter James was a poet who taught at a college in Dublin. Apparently he married an Irish girl, but I have no other trail. I would llike to know the name of his wife and if he had any children?
John Alfred married a Margaret Shelagh (Shelagh being the middle name) but I do not have her last name. They lived in Indian off and on (he was a Major in the Indian Amry and also lived there before the war as a tea planter). They had three children: Clare, Michael, and Valentine, who are possibly living but I can not pin down a trail to find any of them.
Again, thanks so much for all your responses, Gail

if they had two children, and one died, presumably the first was born before Alfred, and after 1906. Cant spot it
