Hi there.....

my name is alison but that was changed when i was adopted....

i am now looking for my birth mother but i dont have a clue what to do all i have to go on is her name when i was born my date or birth and place of birth.....

if anyone could help me it would be much appreciated,

The first place to start is to apply for your original birth certificate and adoption file - this is a free service - the above link will take you to the relevant area.

There are various agencies who will help in your search, but most involve a cost. This site will give you lots of information and advice:

When you have more details, come back to your thread if you need help in searching records. It can be a slow process but there are many people on here who would try to help.
