Children are all on Facebook but contacting them is not really an option. |

Well, adding the children definitely helped because their mother wasn't "Lynn". |

Christopher with respect I think there is too much info being put out on your last post, you have basically identified him as your father to his other children if they google his name for any reason and certainly you don't need to mention their names or ages here nor who he worked with (who has nothing to do with it.... ) |

Please get as much info from your mother as you can, my mother died many years ago and told me very little about my father as she was ashamed of being an unmarried mother in the 50's-if only I could ask her more-only he was called John Rynne and was Irish/American-would be in his 80's if still alive-have you tried ancestry.co.uk? good luck-Pauline |

Did your parents live together for a while? In which case they may both be on the electoral register for the address(es) they lived at (can your Mum remember?), which would give you your Dad's exact surname and any middle names which should help with subsequent searching. |

Just to check. Have you seen your birth certificate to confirm that he isn't shown on it? |

Well, you might think 25 years is a long time, but as someone aged 57 it isn't believe me! |

up to now, everything i posted in the original message is all i know, next time i go to visit my mum, i am going to sit and talk and get as much info as possible, but i dont think it will be alot.. as it was 25 years ago. which makes this task alot harder.. i am assuming he has passed away, until i am told different.. |

Does your mother have an address for him back then? Or remember any members of his family? Don't put on here obviously! |

Im trying to locate my real Dad, who i have not since for about 25 years, only problem is i have very limited details about him, i know his name was JOHN CHRISTOPHER (but was known as CHRIS) and his surname was either WOODHOUSE, or WHITEHOUSE, my Mum cant really remember which.. he will be roughly 50 years old. |
