Find Living Relatives

Hi. I'm looking for 2nd and 3rd generation plus of McDermotts that originally came from Pollymount, strokestowm, roscommon, Eire. The family names of my father and his brothers and sisters were: Roddy, Thomas, Sean, Winnie, Polly and Izzie. They attended Ballyfeeney school. I understand that Winnie and Polly may have left for America, or possibly canada but have had no luck in finding any family

I would be most grateful of any help that anybody can let me know of.

Saw the name mentioned and hope somebody out there can help me. My father Roddy McDermott was from Pollymount,Roscommon, born 1921 his brother Tom a few years older. I know they had another brother Sean. The skimpy info I have is: Their father was John and their mother was Mary Ellen (nee Head I believe)there was Winnie,Polly and Izzie. I got rather excited when I saw the mcd name on your posting. The name Kiltrustin rings a bell, think my father went to school there. Roddy and Tom came to England and worked, married and had children till their deaths. I now have no history,info on their lives. If anybody is out there who could help me, or tell me where is the best place to start I would greatly appreciate it. I assume the girls left for USA. Incidentally Tom married Annie Gibbons from Castlerea - she too is dead now. Await to hear something from somebody please. Many thanks. Madeleine
