Thanks Jan, sorry for submitting twice, just trying to get the hang of it...I can't search the trees as I don't know what his name would be now...I think the national adoption register will be our port of call. I spoke with social services and they said to put name on the register. We have since found out that he did try to contact his birth mother (my husbands mum) some yrs back but sadly she didnt want to know. The adopted brother will have no idea he has more family and we would really love to find him...thank you for your advice Jan x |

Have you tried 'search trees' above? A slim chance, but it's worth a look just in case he is looking for his birth family and is a member - or someone else in the family is! |

Hello all, we have recently discovered that my husband has a brother who was adopted out from the district of Wortley Yorkshire approx 47 yrs ago...His name on his birth certificate is 'Ian Hamshaw' but other than that I have no more leads...Any help would be very much appreciated :) |
