There are just so many William Whites. If that is the one who married Vera, it should have said 53 on the marriage cert. |

Hi Rose yes he was 54 listed on the certificate a Bachelor and a Porter at the Poor Institution The box is blank for his fathers name. |

The marriage cert should list William's age and father. Was he really around 54? What was William's occupation? Could they have moved abroad? |

Have you looked for possible births to the marriage on Freebmd? Hard to be sure with those names as they are pretty common, but there are 2 possible births in Somerset 1946 & 1948 - might be worth checking out. |
