i am looking for relatives of Gwyn Jones i know he lived in nelson in the 40s and he was a seaman

I think you might need to get a little more information.
It is unlikely that anyone who actually knows him will read your posting, so, to help you, do you know his approximate date of birth, and where he was born?
Or do you mean he was born in Nelson between 1940 and 1950? (However, no Gwyn Jones born in Nelson.)
Could you say whether he is named on someone's birth certificate?

As he 'lived' in Nelson in the 40's and was a Seaman (presumably at the same time) he would have been born in the 20's at the latest.

Did he actually have Nelson as his permanent residence, or was he there only briefly?

How did you come across his name etc?

i dont know where he was born but my cousin said he was from the South Wales Valleys and was a seaman. I presume he would have been born between 1914 and 1924 and I think he would have passed away by now . He was my father but he was already married he told my mother he was divorced so he most probably lived in nelson with his wife his name is not on my birth certificate but I think he paid maintainence as we used to pick it up from the City Hall in cardiff until my mum married when I was 8. I know he had 2 aunts in Cardiff. the problem is his name is very common in Wales. thank you for trying to help.
