Hello Kevin and welcome to the community boards.

Have you tried putting Margaret's name into the Search Trees box above - it seems as though a couple of members on this site have her in their tree.

You can try contacting the tree owners for further information. Cx.

Hi Kevin

Were there any more details on your wifes original birth certificate - did Margaret have a middle initial? Also, have you tried to see if the address given would help locate her family.

The Margaret found searching trees may not be the right one, you are only guessing her age and there were 2 births Newcastle - 1948 &1950 either of which could be her assuming she was born local (which she may not have been).

Added: The one in Elizabeth's tree married in 1969, she also has the husband in her tree.

hi flip
my wife has documents from when social services were talking to margaret about the adoption they referred to margaret ,as being 20 years old now in January 1969 we do have a surname for the father but we dont want to look into this yet, its her mother she would like to meet, out of all the documents we have searched there is only one margaret that it can be. you mentioned Elizabeth tree she has allowed us to see it but blocked all the information about the nesbitt family, so we cant see and have asked to look at it but had had no reply. the fathers name on the documents has the same surname as the person margaret married in 1969. so don't know if this is just coincidental or not but when we have asked Elizabeth for her tree . we were speaking to Elizabeth brother but i think it might have been too much for him and will not reply to us again , once social services has been in contact with my wife with margarets date of birth this will make it easier we may be on the wrong track with Elizabeth but are quite sure we are 90% sure
