I am looking for Hargraves families. John Paine was born as Paul Hargraves at Smithtown NSW. He was adopted out as a baby. We are looking for George Edward Hargraves and Linda Olive Skinner (maiden name) - his birth parents and also his silblings - they are Janice, Lynette, Edward, Diane (married name McCallum), Rosemary, Lawrence, Sabrina and the last one unknown name. John was born in 1953

If you add NSW to your heading then people with knowledge of Australia will be able to help, and you will not be too disappointed with lots of people looking but no ideas forthcoming.
I suggest you also give a rough estimation of a birth date.

Hi Shirley .... I noticed on 'NSW/BMD' (on-line) that George Edward Hargraves married Linda Olive Skinner 1937 at Coffs Harbour.

Also a death (reg.no. 19009/1942) of Gwendoline Robin Hargraves (parents George Edward & Linda Olive)

The 'Ryerson Index' (on-line) has a funeral notice for George Edward Hargraves 7/6/1988 'late of Evans Head' ...'Northern Star' (Lismore)6/6/1988. 'Ryersons' will do a 'look-up of newspaper notice/s for you.

The 'State Library of NSW' (on-line) has an 'Ask a Librarian' service ...they will help check current electoral rolls for family names.. i.e .Edward and Lawrence Hargraves ..(daughters probably married).
