I guess Sylvia meant she is hoping 'Wendy will reply to my message' (or to the posts in this thread) via this website.

If Wendy no longer uses the email address she used to open the account here, that is not likely going to happen

finding people often means looking for them first ...

So unlikely she will open them now.....she may have just deleted the email notification...or possibly changed email address

Thank you everyone for your help. I may pluck up the courage to use the more direct communication you have helped with. When you have spent 78 years thinking you are an "only child" it is a huge thing to discover you have siblings - several years younger than your own children. I'm sure most of you will appreciate that. Sylvia.

Wendy seems to be a very open person and I think that should help

given the generational difference ... might you want to ask one of your own children to make the first contact with her? it could be easier for them to break the ice and talk to her about it all
