Have you checked 'search trees'?

Joan has a George Holder born 1932, Hull, in her tree (and several others who look like ancestors)
There are also other people with what appears to be the same George in their tree. Have you contacted them?

Thank you all for your replies, so kind. I have found lots of info on the Holder family who were mainly fishermen. My father George Holder was born in Hull, 1897 and my mother was Amy Doris Clarke, born 1898, in Hull.
My paternal grandfather was Henry Holder, born1854 ish, in Kent. He had one brother William, born 1852, in Kent. My grandmother was Emily Blakeston who was from East Yorkshire.
I am searching for living relatives, cousins probably, of my father who had four brothers and four sisters, from the Hessle Road area. Hope to meet one or two of them !

Have you managed to trace marriages from free bmd?
Do you need any more information, or have you got enough bits to work with, as that saves different people privately sending you duplicate research?

Thank you Tracey, patchem and FLOWERPOT2 for your help in finding some living relatives for me, much appreciated. I have been in touch with one family who live quite near and have tried to contact another. Will try again when I come back from holiday. I will make some time to get searching the BMD as suggested and have bought some credits to get cracking.
