Doesn't matter that the name was Smith, you had both names, easy to find marriage: |

There seem to be a couple of people with Doreen in their tree - use 'search trees' box above to find them. |

Thank you for all this, i have the marriage of the parents which is how I found the children's names, but can not go any further. Also have contacted all people with trees, and they have come back to me but all on the mothers side, and have no details about the children, so know further forward. |

Sorry, Fiona, I understood that you couldn't find the marriage of Leonard & Doreen. I must learn to read more carefully. |

Fiona, do you have any exact birthdates or middle names, for the males particularly? I ask because if all else fails it might be worth looking for their deaths. After 1969 the DOB (if known by the informant) is shown on the indexes. The middle name is often shown too. Death certs can be a good source of information (I speak from experience!). |

I have tried this, but will try again, sometimes over a 1000 come up as I don't know the area that they died, my grandfather died in Sussex and lived in London all his life and the only other death I have found died in Cheshire. Many thanks for the tip will continue along this route. |
