I am looking for Joan Hinchley who was born in Prestwich in 1925.
She was in the Land Army and working on Tuckers Farm, Nicholashayne, Culmstock, Devon between about 1941-1944. She later went to Nantwich to be near her mother who was not in good health. Her father was a fireman for the Co-op. She would be 86 if she is still alive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start by looking in search trees

Have you tried to find out whether she married?

I was trying to find her Mother's name to find out date of death, but cannot see a marriage, so possibly her Mother had been married before, or slight error in transcription. I cannot see any brothers or sisters for Joan.
Do you know her Mother's name?

There is nothing in 'Search Trees'. I don't know if she was married.

Is there now a way to find if Joan THOMPSON (Nee Hinchley) is still alive and where she is please anyone?

How do you know that the marriage that Jan found is of 'your' Joan - I think it is only a guess?
If you get her birth certificate (for exact date of birth and parents names) and proposed marriage certificate you can then check to see if it is the correct marriage with same Father on both.
With exact date of birth we can look for deaths on ancestry up to 2005 without knowing the surname.
Unfortunately Thompson is a fairly common surname.

Yes, I thought Thompson was not the easiest of surnames.
