Looking for living relatives of james oddy and ann walker of baildon west yorkshie. James died 1925 and lived in 3 rushcroft terrace, Baildon. Particular interest in their son Arthur oddy married to Ada Adkinson. Arthur died in 1924 at 3 Rushcroft terrace. He had been living in Yeovil Somerset and was Borough surveyor there from 1902. |

Thank you Jan I have found the said daughter and her marriage and hope I may soon finally have a connection to my grandfather Arthur Oddy. He is a bit of a mystery and was the family secret which set me off on the family history trail for my father quite a few years ago. Just wish he could have lived to hear the good news. Fingers crossed! |

I think I may have hit a bit of a brick wall. Julie A Lewery died in 1995 - nee threapleton. Cannot find records for her husband who my still be alive. Not sure if I should be posting such recent info. Also do not apear to have had any children unless change of partner. Trying to be discreet/ sensitive to any living relatives. |

Have you checked 192.com? There is just one entry which matches her husband's name, |

I have a feeling you might be right about this family. However, I have found something interesting about her husband on Ancestry - it has a record of him being a member of a flying club in 1950! |

I have checked the james geoffrey oddy death and it is the same man but cannot find marriage for him. I just googled her husbands name and it came up with an obit and various tributes. This John seems to have flown near Southport so I suppose I thought it was the wrong man. There are Lewerys born in Gosport. |

Jan does this record in ancestry indicate that he is the husband of Julie L. |

Liz, the record - very small! - doesn't say much. Probably too much of a tangent as it's actually Arthur you are after. |

I. have sent a message to a Lissaman on the search trees page and will obviously have to do more research on his siblings although James seemed the most obvious choice to start with. |
