Can't comment on this website's records but ancestry.com has an absolutely astonishing number of records that have just been badly transcribed ~ for example, they may miss a letter of the surname, Lockey instead of Lockley was one I found yesterday, so unless you unluckily misspell your own dad's details in a search, it won't find him. However, you say this occurs for "several" relatives, and if that's really the case, then I would question the information you have ~ it seems highly strange for several members of the same family not to have details in official records. |

If you are looking 1837-1950ish use Freebmd instead - there is a 'Phonetic search surnames' option which will allow for variations. |
