Rosa Bridges born Hendon[ and died when Jack was young ]was Jacks Mother and and his father was Benjamin Charles Avery born 1892 Portsmouth in the 1960s they lived in Abingdon Road Southsea Nr Portsmouth,[no longer exists.,] Ben re married but died in 1966 and the house was purchesed for re develoement ,Jack and his younger brother by 20 yrs lost contact .Ken would dearly love to know if Jack is still living in Lamport area Portsmouth .we were told that some one knew of him still living in the area 6 yrs ago .but hes no longer at that adress .we would be grate full if anyone has any info on this ,there was aJack Avery in the Death Records but was born in 1923 this was not our Jack .hopefully we will be able to catch up with Jack many thanks Jan <3

Many thanks everyone,for your ideas ,yes your all right and very good of you .i think the news are good at what they do and im certain its very helpful but i dont think we want to go public .as its that he was a shy person in his day and i dont want to put him off .but yes thats arealy good colom Jan ;-)

You could try his old neighbours if you live near Portsmouth or a local doctor who may help if you explain his age etc & your kinship.
