Find Living Relatives

I have obtained my father's birth certificate & his mother's name was Florence Windmill with a middle name starting with M. He was born in 1926 & his birth name was Henry James Windmill. Does anyone have any information of any living relatives. I believe his mother's sister was called Jessie & born about 1907 & they are the daughters of Martha & william Windmill. My dad is 85 & it would be nice to see if we have any relatives out there.

With a name that is wonderfully not a common one, you might try the telephone directories for the areas around where your father was born to see if there are any 'Windmills' out there. You could try to contact them to ask politely if they might be connected.

I did this with one name in my lot and actually found a distant cousin. It would be helpful to have taken your dad's line back a generation or so if you can. This might be seen as proof that you aren't just some wierdo hoping to sell something.
