As this search is for the father, I feel you should remove the mother's details, which are not relevant, as she is almost certainly alive.

I've no expertise in french genealogy, and even though you say he went back to France ~ there are two Jean Gerard's on the latest electoral register and both in the London area

Good morning all,
I was wanting some advise please on how to find missing father.
I have someone who was adopted who knowns the name of his mother and father but his father was French.
This is what we no so far

Father was Jean Gerard from France {he thinks Paris} and was living in the Highgate area in {1966} he was an Architect}. Believed to have gone back to France before he knew of the baby.

The baby Adoptive name is David Phillips

David has his Adoption papers and birth cert but it all comes back as father unknowne.
Any advise on this matter would be wonderful,
