Find Living Relatives

Hi I started to help my gran find her sister who left home in the 1950's. Sadly I have discovered this week that she died on 9th September 1976 at Whittington Hosp Islington. Her name is Jean Taylor Kendrick (nee Hepburn) born 29/10/1932 in Paisley. Her parents were Christina Hepburn (nee fairbrother) and Alex Hepburn, She had a brother Alex and sisters Chrissie, Anna and May. She married Frederick David Kendrick possibly know as Ken, he was born in 1924. He was a train conductor. She got married in St Pancras Registry Office on 26 January 1957 and lived in the Camden area around this time. She gave birth to a son Anthony in Whittington Hospital in Islington London on 18th June 1966. Anthony was adopted soon after he was born. I also discovered she lived at the same address as the man who registered her death.....Anthony Lawrence Pennock...of 218 Middle Lane, Hornsey...possibly her partner at the time. It would be much appreciated if anyone could help as my gran has been seeking to find her for many years. Id love to see if she had more kids...although I think it's unlikely. I am hoping to trace Anthony who was adopted and also Anthony Pennock to see if he is still alive. Karen

Can we assume that this man was not the father of the boy born in 1966?

It would explain his being adopted.............

No Kendrick/Hepburn births other than Anthony's........and none for Pennock/Hepburn.

But that doesn't rule out her having had other children.............just makes it unlikely that they could be identified

Hi thank you so much for your help. I would imagine this is the same Anthony Lawrence Pennock. This is defo same Fred Kendrick as I found out a while back he died in 1995.

I dont think the boy born in 1966 was Freds. Maybe just a coincidence that its the same name Anthony?? but dont think so prob was ALP child.

I honestly dont think she would have had more children but I was just curious incase.

Would love to find Anthony as this is my grans nephew and the only link to her sister Jeanie.

You could add your name etc to the adoption contact register.

If Anthony knows he was adopted, and is looking for blood relations, he may have done the same...........

Im not very sure how all this works but I seem s to show Anthony Lawrence Pennock & Frederick David Kendrick were both born in 1924 in Birmingham Warwickshire?? Maybe they have been friends n travelled to London for work??

But I do not see much point anyway, also as it is less than 50 years you would need all the infomation to obtain it

How do you know that the father's name for both Anthony's births is Frederick Kendrick.??

As on the GRO it only gives mothers maiden name.
