she lived there around 1953 she is dead. she is my birth mother she gave me up for adoption at birthi have my birth certificate but there is no fathers name on it, i am trying to find my father PLEASE.lol

no i will try but i doubt it a birth cousin found me in genes and brought me some photos he then told the family about me nobody new about me and they still dont want to

Unless a clue is mentioned in the file, its highly unlikely that you would be able to identify your birth father. Such a shame that most of your birth family 'don't want to know' you. They are probably the only ones who may know something about the circumstances.

If you have a good relationship with your birth cousin, may be he can work on the older generation and get them to spill the beans.

Some naming patterns include the surname or first name of the father, if the parents weren't married - any chance of that being the case? [no need to answer that ;-) ]

they were not married we are the older generation lol i am 58cousin is older the only person who might have known is his mother but she died she was my mothers sisters daughter although they were the same age. it was strange the way my mum got me she had three miscarriges and couldnt have kidswhen i was born a doctor came to her door and told her there was a baby in the hospital did she want it she told me she went right down the town and bought a pram came up to the rankin hospital in greenock and took me home sounds strange thanks for your help
