I have looked on Freebmd and not found anything,

Thats the death reg Flick, i have a Cyril Cottingham born 1918 Folkestone son of Annie Cottingham, Annie married a George Rye in 1919.At the moment i am tracing this Cyril to see if he is Annies Son,

But he could have been adopted after this.

Did any of his half siblings know of him? How did you discover Cyril?

Dear Rose,
You may be right,no one knows of him and i have tried various ways of finding him.I cannot find a death or marriage or a birth under his mothers married name.

I will try a different angle,
