HILLIS, Bill and Betty (nee Moore)

Yes, I have done research. William Hillis was born September 1916 in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Elizabeth M. Moore was born April 1918 in Burnbank (or Blantyre). They married in 1939 and had 2 sons (1940 and 1944).

I do not know William's parents' names but his grandparents were William and Elizabeth (nee Coutts). This couple had at least 6 children. Some emigrated to Canada.

I know nothing further about Elizabeth Moore except that she had a sister, Mary.

I am hoping to find the names of the parents of William Hillis (1916) and Elizabeth Moore so that I can then progress back. My hope is that living relatives will be able to fill in the blanks.

As long as you remove one of them............................duplicates are NOT allowed.

Have you done any research yourself with regard to William and his wife?

Do you know when they were born?

And what, exactly, do you hope for?

Looking for information/relatives of William "Bill" Hillis and Elizabeth "Betty" Moore who married in 1939 in/near Hamilton, Scotland. They had 2 sons. In 1949, Bill emigrated to Toronto, Canada and Betty and the boys followed in April 1950. Both Bill and Betty have passed away.

If you are related to this family, I would be delighted to hear from you to share info.
