hi i am trying to find my real father all i have to go on his his name and roughly how old he is ..i am not sure if he is still alive or not and if he has any more children....rambling rose has given me a name and a date of birth which seems about right...i also think he may have a twin brother but again im not sure how accurate this is...any help would be greatly appreciated..i am not really sure how to use this site as i am terrible with computers...so any tips on tracing where he may live would be appreciated aswell..many thanks in advance and hopefully i may be able to find him and continue to build my tree x x

One thing you must not do is post more than once about the same person, and you have obviously done so..........

If you aren't happy using a computer, go to your nearest main public library, and look for his name in the phone book.

But, please don't just ring up if you find anything....................he may have family who are unaware of your existence

Flick, jeanette mistakenly added her query to my stickied post at top of board...therefore I advised her it would be better to post her own thread where it would be seen.

I have sent a couple of 'possibles' from 192 and advised jeanette she can get credits to view the addresses.

Very good advice re not ringing up.

I'd personally send a letter saying who you are and that you think there might be a family connection through (name of mother) , but not be too specific.
