Lost Half-brother

On behalf of my Sister's husband I am looking for his half-brother. He was born on 31st March 1945 and was named David John. His mother was Florence nee Hewett. David was born at his aunt Poppy's house in Portsmouth. He was fostered for a year by another aunt, Nellie Barrett. After that my brother-in-law has no memory of him. It's possible he was adopted and given a new name. It's possible he had ginger hair. If anyone knows what happened to David John we would be so grateful to hear from them. |

Thanks for your responses. My bro.-in-law, John, has a copy of the original birth certificate, but he was with auntie Nelly Barratt for his first year, so if he was adopted it would have been after that. His birth was registered by his Mother. there were two more aunts, Rose, and Florences twin, whose name I don't know. Poppy's married sirname was Rollason. |
