Thanks for responses to Seabrook Hemel Hempstead - I do have a fair sized tree going back to James but am stuck on searching further back because I can't find any details of james in Hemel Hempstead (England) From census records his birth year seems to vary from 1763 to 1771. I don't know who his parents are and he came to Chevening in Kent around 1800 and married Hester but the only details I have on Hester is that she was "not a woman of this parish" so I don't have a maiden name. |
