Just pleased you are ok Pammy, what a nuisance for you. Is it an old style (keyboard) kindle. If so have you tried charging it right up and holding the on/off switch across for a longer time than usual? |

No, it is a Kindle Fire, I've tried factory resetting it but no joy. I don't think it is worth getting it fixed - probably cost more than a new one. |

I still have the original model but it is starting to play up. Recently scrambled all the unread books in my library bringing back in some I have read as well and I just can't sort it. Thinking I am eventually going to have to update it, it is 5 or 6 years old now so has done very well. I really didn't want to get a touch screen but seems I will have no choice. Would you recommend the kindle fire? |

Up to recently has been great, OH was able to watch TV when he was in bed ill, great for Skyping relatives abroad and can use it for emailing when on holiday. Only draw back is that mine wasn't so good to read in the sunshine but I don't know if recent versions have addressed that. |
