Have seen this Ann. Have also checked Birmingham Libraries online catalogue.

Times Legacy is available ( but not from the branch I use)
Three of the Birmingham Libraries have The House on Bellevue Gardens, all three are out on loan at the moment, but are due back by 7th December.

Will be visiting 'my' branch on Saturday and requesting both books. Should be able to squire and read them by 22nd. December (Fingers crossed).

P.S. Last One Home. is not in the library catalogue at the moment.

So sorry not to have made the vote and suggestions.
I was away and was supposed to use my Kindle to get in contact but it died :-(
(Still at least it has given OH an idea what to get me for Christmas.)
Will try to do better this time.

Just pleased you are ok Pammy, what a nuisance for you. Is it an old style (keyboard) kindle. If so have you tried charging it right up and holding the on/off switch across for a longer time than usual?

No, it is a Kindle Fire, I've tried factory resetting it but no joy. I don't think it is worth getting it fixed - probably cost more than a new one.

I still have the original model but it is starting to play up. Recently scrambled all the unread books in my library bringing back in some I have read as well and I just can't sort it. Thinking I am eventually going to have to update it, it is 5 or 6 years old now so has done very well. I really didn't want to get a touch screen but seems I will have no choice. Would you recommend the kindle fire?

Up to recently has been great, OH was able to watch TV when he was in bed ill, great for Skyping relatives abroad and can use it for emailing when on holiday. Only draw back is that mine wasn't so good to read in the sunshine but I don't know if recent versions have addressed that.

thanks, that is very important though so will have to find out. Mine is great in bright light, easy to read.
