A summer Affair

The Ballroom Cafe

I was looking up Ballroom Café in our local library and they don't have it but listed books they do have and one of them was Bananas in Pyjamas Party Pack, so don't be surprised what I review.

They do have Fairfield Hall

Sarah's Key is also available in Chinese at the other group of libraries I belong to.

So I could be reviewing anything

Sarah's Key.

Two Fridays in April.

I haven't checked out the library to see is available. - but will do my best to get the books with the most votes.

Fingers crossed.

Tess, I have just recently read Anne Perry's latest book (had not read any others apart from that Buckingham Palace Gardens one we read in the group) This one is called Corridors of the Night - saw it on display in local library. It is about blood transfusions before they were able to identify the different groups of blood and they were using children's blood to perform the transfusions with little understanding how some worked and some didn't.. It was very interesting as was the detective side of it.

So the winner is the ballroom cafe
second is Sarah's key

The remaining votes are spread around so any of the 1s you want to read, do.

I think I said this before I will read the ballroom cafe but I won't be reading Sarah's key, mainly because I have so many other books to read and that one is expensive to buy for the Kindle.

I will read the two I suggested because I have them, I will also read Fairfield Hall because i have it already downloaded on the Kindle :-) :-)

I can order Sarah's Key cause it is older and easier to get.

The Ballroom Café may have to wait. I can't believe there are only five copies in the whole of Auckland which has a lot of libraries. Two are at the one library and all five are out on loan.

I will do my own suggestions: Two Fridays in April and "The Lies you Told Me."

And will grab Fairfield Hall tomorrow or Saturday from local library.

Apologies I did not realise Sarah's Key was expensive, I actually read it a few years ago

Hope to go to one of the smaller local libraries on Saturday.
Will take the complete of suggested books with me. Will try to get two of the ones with the most votes ( or any votes at all).

If none are available I will read my own suggestions as I already have them.

Perse, Corridors of the Night sounds interesting. I had wondered how long it was before people found out about different blood group s.
I'm pretty sure that I've read other books by Ann Perry, just don't remember which and when.

Will definitely read Before she was Mine as I picked it up from the charity shop and will get the Ballroom Cafe on Kindle. After that I shall see how it goes.

Well my 'special bus' did not turn up this morning so I was not able to get to the library.
Will have to leave it till next Saturday and hope that the R and R bus picks me up.
I had booked it for today but there was some sort of mess up with the paperwork. I've been assured that they will get it right next time!
