kandj Report 14 Nov 2017 09:13

Here I am and THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your kind and caring support.

I feel shattered but there is still a very long and difficult road ahead for lovely hubby and our family. His pneumonia is almost clear and his heart condition is stablized after last weeks heart attack. He is looking worn out and every old bless him. Still on Coronary Care getting excellent treatment and the staff are so very kind and supportive towards Helen and me also. She is now back in Durham with the family but plans to come midweek again. Obviously sooner if needed.

His pain relief has been increased and this has caused him to become very confused. Not nice to see him suffering back pain and not good to see him as confused as he is right now. We have seen this before, we had expected it to happen but it is still really upsetting for us to witness it.

Last week's scan result wasn't what we wanted to hear but this is how it is and so we pick ourselves up and be thankful for another new day. Thanks again everyone.

It’s such a difficult time for you Kandj and waiting for results of scans etc can be very worrying but, as Ann says, we are all thinking of you and though we communicate in a virtual world, our love and good wishes are real.

Try to take care of your own health as well and rest when you can. Sending you a cyber hug ((((((((()))))))) <3

sorry Kandj I didn't see this yesterday.

A very hard worrying time for you, bless your OH for being so uncomplaining, I hope the CT scan provides answers for you (good ones of course). We are all continuing to think of you, wishing there was more we could do but impossible in a virtual world. However, hope it continues to help knowing the support is here. <3 <3 <3

THANK YOU VERY MUCH...your kind words and thoughts are much appreciated.

I don't know if I am on my head or my heels but doing my very best to stay grounded and not allow my thoughts to run riot. H has returned home to Durham for the weekend

My lovely hubby is a star and uncomplaining as he always is, but although stabilized, he is still not in a good place. We are waiting anxiously for CT scan results now.

Vera that is really unusual for a Jay to hang around like that when someone is there. How lovely . I haven't seen a Jay here since earlier in the year when one would come and feed from the Window feeder.

I have had no news from Kandj for a couple of days now. I really hope that her dear Hubby is ok <3 <3.It is a worrying time for her right now.

Love the photos of Rhodri, Jem. He looks a real character.

OH said that when he was in the garden yesterday washing out the dustbin a jay came and sat on the fence and watched him. It then flew down right next to him for a drink from the bird bath. It didn't seem to be a bit worried by the fact that OH was right there.

I'm pleased that there is something other then sparrows and starlings around. I put a new home made fat cake out this morning and about a dozen starlings arrived within minutes and by lunchtime the fat cake was finished. Greedy things!

Keeping Kandj and her hubby in my thoughts <3 <3

Jem Rhodri certainly seems to be at home there, and has no shame :-D I am sure it is helping your grandson to have him there too.

Thinking of Kandj and her beloved other half. I hope the hospital are keeping him pain free. Thinking of you bothKandj <3 <3

Pics of Rhodri are brilliant Jem LOL He looks well settled !!! My Daughters partners sisters partner has the same name :-D.
Your Rhodri is a very lucky Puss to be with you.
We have had our Thomas now for almost 2 and a half years after he turned up in our garden. He was a skinny thing when he arrived. But once wormed, de fleaed ,vaccinated and chipped he is now a very handsome boy. I think he is about 6 yrs .We will never know for sure exactly how old he is. We were never going to have another pet after losing our dog ,but I am so glad Thomas decided to come and make his home here :-D.

Hi Jane :-)

Thank You for letting us know about Kandj's hubby :-(
Sending more extra special (((((((hugs))))))) and <3 <3 <3 <3 to both xx

Thanks Jane
His name (which he already had) is Rhodri ... as you will guess it's a Welsh name and not one usually given to cats :-D

He was a cat that was abandoned in my Grandson 1's street. He and his next door neighbours had been feeding him, but neither were in a position to offer him a home.

As GS1 has had to come home here for a while due to very difficult health problems and circumstances, he was fretting about him. So muggin's was nagged!

He is now happy, warm and well fed. He's been to the vets and had his jabs, fleas and worms banished. But he does have a heart murmur.

We thought when we first saw him hanging about GS1's that he was about 10, but he's about 4/5 according to the vet, and he looks much younger now.

He's naughty at times but very funny and so you can't help but laugh! He's like an eccentric old man!!! :-D

Aww, thank you everyone. Your kindness means a lot.

Still not great here to be honest. Hubbies had a fall which meant him spending the night on the bedroom carpet as I couldn't lift him and he couldn't help himself. I don't want to ring 999 again and risk him being taken into hospital. He is too poorly if that makes any sense, it can only get better but we are back to a day at a time again.

We seem to have one single goldfinch feeding at the moment, I wonder where all the others have gone? We do still have a resident robin and a female blackbird and a few collard doves.

Vera, that is a lot of Frogs you have there!. Is this the most you have had at one time?
They must love your posh plastic pond :-D :-D
I found a dead little Gt Tit on the patio this morning :-(. He was just lying there with his little feet in the air. I don't think Thomas was the culprit , but probably a crash into the patio door. It was still warm when I picked it up and looked so cute.I do have an awful lot of small young looking birds on the feeder and the some big bruisers too. Robins seem to be missing at the moment.

Sending love to Kandj <3

Hello ladies, thank you all for your kind thoughts and words. Greatly appreciated.

We had a really bad night with hubby wheezing badly (he is Asthmatic) he now has a chest infection poor love and on antibiotics, it can and will get better soon we hope!

Not liking the frogs! What a wuss I am. Damian came and found 2 dead mice in the garage traps...... he also found a small hole which he didn't spot previously and that is filled in now. He will call and check again on Wednesday. We won't be using the car, no need to go into the garage. Our new freezer is still sitting there empty not switched on until hubby is well enough to come out or for me to leave him, which I never ever do.
