Thanks Ann and Dermot , I will try and read your pieces soon and get back to doing some myself. I will probably put the story on hold for the moment as I am so short of time with other commitments :-| but it is still lurking there at the back of my mind.

Several people on here write poetry and stories , two of the group have continuing stories running... Dermot does sort of topical commentaries which are excellent I might add.
Emma and I read them, we don't write.. but the others read and write (clever lot)

Ann has a list of all our e-mails as do the rest of us and all stories are sent my e-mail.. We then add comments of encouragement or questions or suggestions on how to improve the articles etc.

Sometimes I slip up, read it put it aside and forget to add comments but most of the time I do.. Emma is the good one.

No problem Mau, come back as and when. Although I have found that once the interest wanes or other interests take over, few return to the Writing group. soon be only Rose and I left!! I have kept you on my emails though Mau as you said you wanted to continue to follow the story. :-)

Hello Writers and Readers thought I'd resurrect the thread and also apologise for not sending out any contributions.

Sadly I haven't been inspired to write for quite a long time now, but over the last few months I've become a researcher for a local history project and this is taking up quite a lot of my time.

I've enjoyed being part of the writers' group for four years and hope I will be allowed back someday...always assuming I get my mojo back :-)

Rose sometimes I think people get fed up with the sight of my name. Do you think you could put something on general?

Emma maybe but if I have a break I find it hard to get started again lol!

Ann, I'm not sure how many people come and look at the hobbies board? I don't usually I admit, do you think it might be worth putting a thread on General to see if anyone else might like to join?

Re not receiving notification of new posts on here, it's really annoying that they have been sent to 'promotion's' rather than my 'primary' inbox, so I will have to watchout for that too. Some of my PMs are notified in my 'primary inbox' but some are going to spam :-S i can have two messages on the trot from someone and then the next one from the same person a minute or two later ends up in spam :-|

Thanks to you both for latest contributions, I've been busy ( job hunting, visitors etc) and I will be away tomorrow and Sunday but will reply after that, I have read though! and still trying to write another chapter.

I wouldn't like to see the group close, it would be nice to have some more writers though :-D

Just had a count of my pithy contributions - 74 articles since I joined in January 2012.

I have a few in the pipeline requiring 'adjustments' - but I'll hold on to them till the new year at least.

But it would be a pity for the 'club' to fade away entirely.

Hi all, I am beginning to wonder if it is worth carrying on with this group. I sent out last week and haven't any idea if everyone received it. The only response I had was from Emma - thanks emma for never missing a response.

So, maybe it has run its course, maybe you are all bored with the story. There are so few of us now, only Dermot, Rose and I plodding on. Is it worth it.

You would think there were at least a few budding writers lurking in the boards wouldn't you? give them a nudge BC would you?: I am sure you are watching us. We do miss your funny and sometimes naughty offerings.

Anyway, what do the rest of you think? :-S
