Ann it was maybe because I had read another book about Elizabeth
and had enjoyed that one.

Am now reading 'My Turn' an autobiography by Norman Wisdom.

have just read paul ogradys the savage years. loved the way he slagged off cameron and co... now reading the forgotten garden.

Didn't have any "reading" books as such, but I did receive from daughter a copy of
"Three Good Things, on a plate" , by Hugh Fearnly Whittingstall, to accompany his latest series on Ch4.

Didn't you Emma? I quite enjoyed it when I read it as it was about Elizabeth Woodville and I had read a couple of books about her.

Finished 'Lady of the Rivers' last night and must
say I didn't enjoy it as much as her others.

Just finished The Haunting by Alan Titchmarsh. Well worth reading, I enjoyed it. Not a really deep book but it brings in genealogy and ties up two parallel stories, one in the 19th century and one the 21st. :-)

Hello Readers :-) I finished the book I couldnt remember the name of...Thursdays in the Park? and it was very good, easy reading. I would recommend it and at 20p for the Kindle it is a bargain.

Have started Nicci French's Blue Monday. It features a psychoanalyst called Freida Klein (who I think appears in some of her other books), and is about the abduction of a 5 year old boy. It is ok, I suppose and well crafted but I haven't 'engaged 'with any of the characters so far. Disappointing so far and will let you know how it goes on.

I'm on with Daughter's of Fire at the moment, love the way Barbara writes her stories, and to think I've been on Ingleborough twice this year. It's good to read for leisure at the moment instead of for study.

Im reading a great book at the moment "Francesca Pascal A World War II Drama by Frederick Nath..Its sinspired by a true story In France in 1942 a Nazi officer steals a Matisse painting which becomes a symbol of freedom against the oppressors....

The painting becomes the reason for fighting and an opportunity for revenge upon the occupying force by the resisttance....

Im hooked already, looking forward to reading her other books now :-)

I am well into The Haunted now and, contrary to what I first thought, I am enjoying it.

Have been to the local charity shop again. This time getting SIX books, authors include - Kate Mosse, Ruth Rendall and Colleen McCulloch.

Colleen's book is called "Angel" set in Sydney NSW in the early 1960's.

Interesting, includes a landlady/fortune teller and her various tenants.

What I found most amusing is that on the back cover of my paperback, the fortune teller has been given the wrong name!

A good read neverthe less.

Don't think that one is for me though.

I am reading Alphabet drills by Nancy Gyes. It is a book on Dog agility.
