I'm still reading Roma by Steven Saylor. It's in the style of Edward Rutherford and quite heavy going but i'm finding it very interesting and am persevering with it...have just treated myself to The Kingmakers Daughter by Philippa Gregory as it's finally gone down to the same price as the paper back on Amazon...I suspect I'll try and race a bit to finish Roma now so I can start on it....been waiting ages for this from one of my favourite authors !!!

Muffy, I'm reading "Kingmaker's Daughter" at the moment - got it from the library. It's the story of Anne Neville, daughter of the Earl of Warwick, but I won't spoil it for you by saying anything about the story. I am enjoying it much more than the last Philippa Gregory book I read ("The Wise Woman").

You're welcome Emma........can't believe how long it's taken to come down a bit though lol.

I'm glad you're enjoying it Vera....although they've been mentioned in the other novels I know very little about the Neville sisters...so I'm looking forward to plugging some of the gaps ! x

I've never taken so long to get through a book as I am
with this one.
Nicholas and Alexandra is very interesting and learning
things I never knew and, I am enjoying it but boy it's hard
going and I don't know why it is.

Nearly finished Peaches for Monsieur Le Cure by Joanne Harris. I'm enjoying it very much, though I think I preferred Chocolat. This is the third book in the series.

Just read Lone Wolf by Jodie Piccoult. I found it a bit different to her normal books, about a man who goes off to live among wolves in their natural habitat in Canada. If you are interested in wolves there is a lot of info on them. There is also a court case as is usual for her books. I didn't think I was going to like it but did in the end.
