Jan, if you find out what it is let me know. *thinks, does daff have any Rhinos to grip???

I have not used buttons and have a large tin full so had better get my head around that one.

Does anyone else have my problem. I am doing a page and tried to do it with the photos diagonal on the page. Now this works for other people, why doesn't it work for me. I have to have them straight!

Do not encourage her Jean!!! Glitter!!

Sarah, thanks for that, it will save me looking. what a shame I loved that magazine, preferred it to the Scrapbook Magazine. And it always seemed to sell out so must have been popular.
Not really a fan of the American style idea books.
Still it will save me money I suppose.

Daff if you have some all the same size, they look great as an edge round photos, or as borders, bottom and top of pages, you can also make a flower with them.... or spell out names.....unusual ones can be a feature on their own, I look out for very big decorative ones....I did one it was a large antique one,so I put it in a corner of the page, with ribbon coming from underneath looked very good....have a go..... you could glitter plain ones....lol....

love Jean xx

Scrapbook Inspirations has been cancelled Ann. Last issue was before christmas with no mention in it that it was the last one, I only know because it was mentioned on the uk scrappers forum.
They are apparently going to bring out idea books from time to time instead under the scrapbook inspirations name, that must be going ahead because a lady I know describes herself as a member of the idea book design team.

I have seen loads of pages in scrap book magazines using buttons en mass.

Talking of scrap book magazines, anyone any idea why I have not been able to get hold of a Scrap Book Inspirations magazine for a couple of months?

I read some of these posts out to R last night. He laughed.... said it sounds just like me.... I had to go out for red ribbon just the right colour... couldn't find it but managed to fill my basket with other stuff. I did put a rhino gripper (or something) back, as I wasn't sure if I would use it...... but now I think about it.......... mmmmm

I already have two shoe boxes full of ribbon... some I had already, in my sewing box.

And sorting through some blouses and stuff.... I saw some very pretty buttons on one of them....... lolol

I have just cut the buttons off two old shirts...... anyone know of a project for using those? I have zillions, lolol

Love

It doesn't matter what it is or for that matter how much stuff you have you will never have exactly the shade you need of something - fact! I should know i have miles of ribbons and tons of paper flowers yet the ideal shade is never there when i want it. Think maybe I should only buy in black and white.

Jan Lol!!! What I don't understand is, I have loads of stuff, I have reels and reels of ribbons, why then when I am making a card or doing a scrap page do I not have the colour ribbon I want to use??

SarahSalopianScrapper

SarahSalopianScrapper Report 4 Feb 2010 12:42

Scatty I think we can all recognise that scenario LOL

My box of bargains arrived yesterday and I was a bit surprised, I didn't realise I'd bought as much as I had. Better get using it I think

Strange that isn't it Sarah, how all of a sudden things fall into place.

I have now made four cards so hopefully will be able to start my next scrap page.

My problem is so many interests, so little time and so long spent wasting time on here Lol!!!!

SarahSalopianScrapper

SarahSalopianScrapper Report 2 Feb 2010 17:03

I finished the page :)
Something just wasn't working but I turned the main piece of paper around so the stripes were horizontal instead of vertical and suddenly it all fell into place.

Scatty Report 2 Feb 2010 16:40

cobwebs - I know them well LOL
Had to take a break from my paper pushing to do a little cleaning myself and took myself off for a walk because the sun came out. It's vanished again now behind big black clouds but it's amazing what twenty minutes in the fresh air can do for the mind.
Right back to work got to find a B&B in the New Forest for July
