I saw that too JUlia although also have not read it, it does look extremely intricate doesn't it? As one who managed to finish exactly one smallish cross stitch picture I admire her.

Thought you would all like to know this. In todays supplement in The Mail, a lady has captured the most moving moments of the past 70 years in a tapestry. Not had chance to read it yet. She must have good eyesight, as I could see closely enough to the work, to do it. It is very pretty and intricate

Hello, been absent for a couple of days because I've not been feeling great. Still been making the odd card but no scrapping sadly. However tomorrow is, fingers crossed, my crop day. I say fingers crossed because it has been cancelled twice this year due to snow and i really need some time in the company of like minded individuals and to shop in a proper craft shop LOL

Linda, I really can't blame you for buying the tim holtz goodies I was very tempted myself and I am planning on getting myself some more of his inks. I was doing well with collecting the original colours and have over half of them and then he had to launch some new ones. Good thing is it is my birthday next month and I am already planning what to buy with my birthday money.

Today I'm working on ATCs for a swap the theme is your birth year, wasn't sure what to go with at first but it really seems to becoming together now. I've got a king (Elvis) & queen (jubilee) theme going on.

why would you not be there Daff. Is it heights? T doesn't like heights but he was OK there as long as he was back behind the wall, and you don't look down, you look out and across, if you know what I mean. The sunrise was best, wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Sounds brilliant, Ann... and poetic... I always think of sunrise as tearing into the new day... and sunset as slipping into a healing sleep... strange, isn't it? And to have that over the Grand Canyon... torn into the rocks through aeons of sun rises and sunsets... stunning....

I must say that I wouldn't have been there to take that photo unless I was unconscious... but it sounds wonderful!

~~~~~~ back to Jean~~~~~~
We have punched out zillions of hearts and butterflies.... and tomorrow we shall put them onto a card for mummy... but the new scooter was a bit of a distraction with it's flashing lights, lol
If the weather is good, it will be Barry Island tomorrow.... the beach!! That I shall scrap straight away..... Watch this space.
Love
Daff xxxx
Finished the double pages of our visit to Grand Canyon in 1992, one page sunrise, one sunset. Very pleased with how they turned out and I actually tore the backing paper (not the 12x12 though.
Thanks Ann that may be the problem...I came off the internet to check where I click on to get the internet and it does say Internet Explorer.
It is still behaving itself lol.
If you are on Internet Explorer (IE) that sometimes can cause problems with genes I believe.
I am afraid I don't know Ann...I am computer illiterate. It seems to ok at the moment so perhaps a GR glitch.
I will have ask OH when he gets home from work.
Linda, I don't have a problem with the page jumping. What browser are you on? I am on Firefox. Maybe it is your browser causing the problem.
I am sorry to hear that you are not well Ann...I hope you will be feeling much better in the morning.
I have a deju vu moment reading through the latest posts...better than a senior moment. I used to knit alot many years ago and last weekend my dear OH decided he was going to clear out the loft. Amongst all the "junk" was 6 black bin bags containing odd balls of wool, 4 bags of soft toy filling and 2 files of Jean Greenhowe patterns lol!!
Sarah....I blame you for me ordering the Tim Holtz kit lol...after all it was you who pointed me in the direction of his distress inks!!
Sadly I have not had time to do any scrapbooking this week as I am still sorting out the loft stuff which OH put in the spare bedroom...and I still cannot see the twin beds!!
I am still having problems with the page jumping whilst I type so I am going to give up yet again...am I the only one..it is so annoying.
Oh I am resting Daff, well sitting around in here sort of sorting craft stuff for the latest layout, but slowly and pottering on the boards, Body wont let me do anything else. Think it may be a combination of the cold and a reaction to the cream of 'flu like symptoms' (Got to have something to blame!)
When does littlie arrive? Is it today or tomorrow and for how long this time?
Oh dear, looks like I spoke too soon, Ann... sorry.... but wuss is a very descriptive word, and it isn't you.... you don't whinge about feeling rough like I do...... so you must feel dreadful.
I have the conservative (conservatory, even) now ready for action, all tooled up ready for a demented dervish of a granny, and a budding creative genius of a granddaughter...... madam's stuff corralled on one side of the table and the windowsill, granny's on the other side.... with the *free for all* stuff in the middle dividing the two, lolol
Speak later.... Ann, rest up!!
Thank you Julia, I normally ride colds out with no problem but this is a weird one and I feel like a wuss (to use one of daff's descriptive words) complaining. I must look poorly as OH is very sympathetic!!!
Well, I did feel better yesterday but today I feel as if I am recovering from something major, if that makes sense. T had to go to the dentist and then take his car in, I would normally drive down and bring him back from the garage but I felt so weary I just didn't have the energy so he did it on his own returning on the bus. My legs ache and my back, I can't breath and I now have an irritating tickle cough. Think I need putting down Lol!!!!
Yes I did notice that sewer could be read two ways Daff Lol!!!!
I have a page started but have really struggled to find complimenting papers, the photo is of the Grand canyon at sunrise in 1992, an old photo but a favourite. Will go and see if I can find anything to go with it again now.
