My crafting time at the weekend was pretty much limited to the hours I spent unable to sleep due to insommnia. It did however mean that I got lots of cards made and have used up my stockpile of made up decoupage bits, now I've just got to put them all into cellophane bags!
Not sure what to do next, I've got a couple of pages waiting to be done for my 8x8 album for my niece and I've got loads of photos printed to choose from but with the sun shining I want sunny photos LOL

I think we all find that Daff, the important step is actually starting the lay out but then they evolve. Jan, glad you are getting better, I am sure the on line shop helped!!!

Sarah, you are welcome, it is always good to see what others are doing.

Morning all.... pleased to see you are mending, Jan.

I have two pages on the go.... almost finished, but not quite.

Something I have noticed, is that I start off with a firm idea of the effect I want, and somewhere along the way it alters dramatically and takes on a life of it's own.

I seem to need some ideas for inspiration to get me started.... then once I am on the go, I get the confidence to change it all anyway. Does anyone else find this, or is it just me?

I also find that scrapping for two different little girls at the same time is an eyeopener... their personalities are different, so I find myself using different colours and techniques to reflect that.... the *feel* of their pages has to be different. But I start off thinking I could do something similar, and so save time!! No way!

I think I am just going a little mad, lolol

Love

Daff xxxx

Thanks for the comments on my blog ladies. If you were referring to the big crackle effect stamp Linda it is called Antique Texture and is by Hampton Art Stamps although I've seen similar designs in other ranges, I really love it for adding that little bit extra to backgrounds.
What time I have had to craft this week as been spent mostly making cards because I am well aware that easter and the start of my selling season is getting closer. I've got a list of things building in my head that I want to get done before the end of the month and should probably write it down.

Hello everyone...

My Tim Holtz goodies arrived last Friday and I have had great fun experimenting. I decided that I really needed a hot tool and clear rubber stamps so it was another visit to my craft shop....I also had to buy the acrylic blocks for the stamps and a couple of stickles. At least J has loyalty cards so I saved £5.

I have never tried stamping before and I am really enjoying it. I have managed to finish a vintage page using distressed embellishments that I made.

Sarah I took a look at your blog...your pages and atc's are lovely. I love the distress type rubber stamp...I will have to look out for it. I wish I had a craft room my tiny corner in our lounge is getting rather overcrowded. I might just think about moving into the conservatory to get organised!

Ann I hope your pages turned out well...did you use all the photos lol.

Just downloaded and printed off a lot of photos I took yesterday of the snowdrops and Aconites at the arboretum. Just need to sort out which ones to use in scrap pages now. Knowing me it will be most of them Lol!!

Yes, they do help with ideas but I rely on cards I receive now and magazines for ideas, I really didn't have time to be making ATCs.

SarahSalopianScrapper

SarahSalopianScrapper Report 3 Mar 2010 12:28

To be honest Ann I think I only make them because i love receiving other people's so much. I have been swaping them for over two years now and like nothing more than taking out the files that contain them and having a browse through

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 2 Mar 2010 20:35

I have had a look sarah and they are both good. I think the King & Queen theme is very good, I liked them both. I actually don't like doing ATCs but like looking at them.

Hi, Ann, and all, only one page to do and the wedding album is done.... I have bought a c.d. from Joanne Sheen by the Royal Horticultrural Society, and printed a lot of insets and background papers but they are only for 8x8, they are lovely....I have also ptinted some stuff onto canvas paper...quite pleased with the results....

love Jean xx

Do let us know when they are on your blog Sarah.

SarahSalopianScrapper Report 27 Feb 2010 15:11

I'll probably put them on my blog when I'm done with them. At the moment they are drying and I'm thinking that they missing something, they need more white to balance out the red and blue I've used but I'm not sure how to add it.

Am now engaged in a tim holtz overload LOL I've got some other ATCs to make with no theme so have got his inks, crackle paint and masks out. If it works they too will make it to my blog
