I found the seeds in the garage so now need to study the packets and decide what is going where.

Have made a batch of easter cards today. I really want to do some scrapping but I also want to get as many cards as possible made so when i put all the stuff away there is less - I think that makes sense! What I think I am going to do is make a list of cards I am going to need for the next few months for birthdays etc and get those made out of the way, any random ones that come along while I'm making those can go in my box to sell. Am also considering a furniture move around in my craft room, I've seen a gorgeous desk/craft station I would love but need to convince OH that the price is justified - it will make me tidier honest! LOL

I have been instructed by the gardener not to plant my seeds until after the weekend as apparently we are expecting heavy rain which will do the seeds no good but will be good for the compost. So i am sitting here while himself renovates the garden furniture. we were in town this morning, offloaded another pile of books to the charity shop and spent £20 of M&S vouchers and they had a sale on!! (Oh I added a little bit extra to the vouchers!)

Had brunch in Wetherspoons at 11.45, vegie breakfast which I prefer to the meat one and COFFEE, no wine today feel very virtuous. Place was heaving, I think we have more Irish in Gloucestershire than Ireland!!!

I believe rain is forecast for the weekend. I need to get myself sorted out regarding the garden, finding the bag of seeds I bought in the autumn would be a start.

lol Ann.... I am hoping it starts to rain, soon.... I need a break from the garden and seed planting, but feel as though I must carry on if the weather is ok.... but I am aching a bit today... good aching, but aching, none the less... and craft work is a sitty-down task, lol.....

We'll see, I have to swear at the kitchen a bit first.... lol

You wont stay away from the scrap book for long Daff. strangely for all the magazines I buy (lots) I rarely buy gardening magazines. I do get annoyed because there are lots of card making magazines and only one scrap book one.

MrDaff

MrDaff Report 17 Mar 2010 18:47

I have decided to stop buying the magazines for a while.... they seem to be virtually all adverts... and where they have templates for the ideas, similar can be found by googling..... I spent a small fortune the other week... couldn't believe it when I got to the till!! I would rather spend the money on, say Martha wotsits punches... now they are really lovely!!

Gardening is taking over my life and my energies at the moment...... but hey.... it'll give me something to scrap on those wet summer days, lololol ;¬))

Agree with you totally Ann, it's rare that I buy a magazine because of a freebie but the price does make a difference. I will admit I only picked it up to see what the freebie was, it stood out being in a box rather than a bag, and wasn't very impressed with it anyway.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 17 Mar 2010 17:26

I picked that up and put it down again yesterday Sarah as well. There is no excuse for it is there? If it is because of all the freebies I would rather just have the magazine than pay extra for 'freebies'.

SarahSalopianScrapper

SarahSalopianScrapper Report 17 Mar 2010 17:23

I was actually shocked when I was looking at magazines today and realised that papercraft inspirations is now £4.99. It's not a magazine i buy regularly but if we are going away i tend to get up a few different ones in case the weather is poor, that one will not be on the list any more.

I can't get over how much Scrapbook Inspirations Idea Book is. Sarah, I think I'll do the same as you, and look before I buy. I wonder if it will be quite a thick book with lots of ideas in it for that price. We'll all find out very soon.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 17 Mar 2010 15:33

Gosh that is expensive. Could buy a lot of stash with that.

Just finished two pages of our visit to the snowdrops at Batsford. Pleased with them, kept them very simple with six photos on each page.

Learnt something that might be of interest to some of you today. The first Scrapbook Inspirations Idea Book is due out on the 31st March. Although at the price (£9.99) I think I'll have a look before I buy.

Actually Sarah I wish they had had a stall with tools on because a lot of the men were like spare parts and really got in the way Lol!!! And why people want to bring small children to these shows beats me, I realise that some have nowhere to leave them but there were loads there with buggies, they couldn't get close to the stalls and the buggies were dangerous, the aisles being quite narrow. One woman had three children, including one in a buggie and gran with her.

SarahSalopianScrapper

SarahSalopianScrapper Report 14 Mar 2010 11:45

Ann those are what I call the filler stalls they are the kind of thing that no matter what the show they are there. I was pleased because there were so few we had many more at the show in Telford last year. Although the Telford show did have a stall that was really made for the men because it was all tools and not just craft type tools either

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 13 Mar 2010 21:37

Sarah, was just saying to OH, there were a couple or three stalls there today that for the life of me I could not see how they related to a craft show. A bed stall, a steam iron and a carpet steamer!!!! The latter seemed to attract the men and give them something to focus on. Although mine was off scouting to see what stalls I should be spending my money on. He was fascinated by the handbag stall!!
