Hi all,
Well I went to the craft show at the NEC and spent most of my money but did pick up some good bargains on peel offs and card so I am very pleased with my purchases.
Sorry I can't answer your question Scatty.

Hi all
Have managed a couple of pages on babys scrapbook and even a few cards that I coloured with my delish promarkers in between house hunting.
My question of the day - I saw some cards cant remember where (online) they were christmasy cards - and for instance around santas cuff of his coat it was sort of glittery but I wouldnt say it was glitter - does this make any sense? If it does does anyone know what would have been used?
:-))))

Hazel you'll find bits about other crafts on here too but the starting point was scrapbooking. Any questions then shout out because one of us will try to help you.

Daff if there was a way to bottle childrens' energy I'd buy some LOL my 9 year old niece is always on the go and just watching her wears me out. Sounds like you were having fun with the little one though.

The cuttlebug will cut out shapes as punch does but also much more besides. What you can actually cut does depend a bit on the die that you use but in mine I've cut paper, card, chipboard, acetate, funky foam, felt and fabric. And if you get the embossing folders you can also emboss paper, card, chipboard and even light weight metal

Hello Hazel, welcome, I am a novice, too.... but learning all the time!

I have just had Littlie help (?) with some punches.... I bought some different sized card shapes... she has done loads, we have stuck them onto a lovely piece of red card - I was saving that, but she was insisting!! I pointed to the purple card, as mummy likes purples... her answer was to roll her eyes at me, smile, and cut out some purple flowers to go onto the red card, lolol..... 3 going on 13, lolol

So we have a beautiful card, flowers and butterflies, and I wrote *Happy Easter Mummy* and she went over it with a black felt tip.... very neatly, I have to say..... she is now eyeing up my glitter pens to go over it again.....

She has been out in the garden with daddy.... and planted up loads of seeds, including the cress, so she will be able to have that in her sandwiches when she goes home next week.... but we have more carrots, beans, peas, carrots, garlic, potatoes, beetroot and salads... plus herbs... so this will be good to scrapbook for her for when she is older.

I was up early, and had a disturbed night... so am sneaking back to bed for an hour, lol....... where do they get their energy from? If only we could bottle it... we could make a fortune!

I have bought a mix of punches... x cut and *homegrown*.... but what do the cuttlebugs do? Do they cut all that a punch does? I realise you would have to get more dies, but do they cut out things like decoupage shapes and heavier card for embellishments?

Love

Daff xxxx

Firstly I would like to apologise if I offended anyone by my question that I asked, I have always been interested in scrapbooking but have never started as didn't know where to begin, but since doing my Family Tree thought it would be a good idea, but obviously not.

The only reason I asked whether it was to do with family trees was because I wanted to know whether the 81 pages were about family tree scrapbooking (or just scrapbooking in general) and thought quicker to ask then read all the 81 pages

Sorry for the question, I just wanted some help really

Apologies

scrapbooking is definitely cardmaking's poor relation and sadly so often misunderstood. I'm sure some people imagine us with those big sugar paper books sticking in newspaper clippings and the like.

I finally managed to sit down and do some crafting... It was an easter card, the first one I did was a no-go. cant believe I have forgotten how to do stamping, but second attempt was o.k.....lol....my problem is not enough room.... but I will get better organised..Sarah, I recall when I used to sell cards, all those years ago, scrapping was unheard of so all my time was spent on cardmaking, but now I love doing scrapbooks your LO sounds very interesting,I didnt know what a blog was until I came on here.. But I dont think scrapbooking is over popular even now , when we went to the States in 1962, it was very big news, and still is I believe

Managing to get some crafting done here today as well as enough housework to keep things going. Am working on a fold out layout that is the same area as three single pages so is taking some time. It is going to be a 'who i am now' page to kind of work with my birthday next week, if i carry on at this rate i'll be a year older before I finish it.

Sorry to hear you are still suffering Scatty
