I've just looked at the spellbinder nestabilities, Ann, thank you... they look just the ticket. I can already see the scope with this cuttlebug. I think it will become my most used toy. I have just cut out some beautiful felt flowers using it... and it cuts much thicker card than I am able to manage, even on a good hand day, lol

Sarah, I know exactly what you mean... and I have friends coming to stay, so need the dining table clear in case the weather is not so good on Thursday and Friday. I have been using the dining table to *store* everything, as well. I have just spread myself around a good bit. Well, a lot, actually.

I know the feeling Sarah and funnily enough I have just had a minor blitz in here. Got my sister coming for a week and her house is always immaculate so I feel I need to tidy up a bit, not a lot you understand, just enough to see the desk and floor!!!!

Hello, suddenly realised that I had not been on here in an absolute age. But then again good weather has limited my crafting because there is so much else to do. One thing that does need doing is to give my craft room a good tidy seems like most everything I own is in the corner alongside me and I can't get into the built in cupboard as a result

Hi Ann... yes, the lady in the shop showed me... I have been having fun on it, in between flitting in the garden, lol I really like it, and know that I shall use it a great deal. I have put the alphabet dies on my birthday list, ;¬))

But I have been practising with the ink pads as well... I haven't got a black pad, so must get one... and this lady showed me how to breathe on it to keep the ink moist etc... so I am getting much better at that now, as well, and no blurred and smudged edges, which is great, I have some water pens, and they are brilliant for colouring in, as well. I have kept my samples, just because I am so pleased with them. Sad, isn't it?

At the moment, I am concentrating on the garden, with this time of year it is calling me more strongly, but the crafting is there for rainy and cooler days. I must try and get my daylight bulb replaced ready for the winter. They haven't had them in at Range or Hobbycraft. Without it, the hours I can work without getting eyestrain are reduced. And you should see the difference in the colours that look a perfect match, the next morning, lolol.

Well, is nobody crafting? I know Daff has bought a Cuttlebug. Did you know that you can use other dies with it Daff. And if you like the Spellbinder Nestabilities there is another web site that does similar more cheaply.

wmsl.... now now.... moi??? I have found it... it was staring me in the face, I had put it into the main bookcase in the living room, cos the conservatory has so much sunshine now the tree has been cut down..... I didn't want the lovely pink to fade, it's the one you sent me for Christmas. So there it was, waiting for me to remember where I had stowed it safely away..... best bit was .... mum remembered where I'd put it when we spoke on the phone earlier... and she is the one officially with dementia, lolol

I have another 2 days' worth of work in the conservatory... move a bit, clean a bit, wash a floor and a window, move a bit more, lolol

It'll mean I can open all the windows and doors on a hot day, as well, without having to move everything!

I can't believe you have managed to lose something Daff! Not like you at all Lol!!!!

MrDaff Report 18 May 2010 10:12

I spent part of yesterday re-organising my craft area... still not finished, as I work slowly, lolol But the area will be much easier to work in, and my stuff will be closer, rather than scattered all around the room. Also, it means that when my granddaughter comes, she has her own spot, and neither of us needs to put it away.... and I can still supervise her easily... she is 4 next month! We can both be messy at the same time, which is good.

I haven't done a great deal of crafting, as I have spent a lot of time in the garden instead. I have two half finished scrap pages of my older moppet.... and I can't find her lovely pink album!! I remember showing it to my mum a few weeks ago, but haven't a clue where I parked it after that!! It'll be somewhere safe, I'm sure.

Take care, and enjoy the sunshine!

Did better with the card selling this last weekend although typically it was a spur of the moment decision to take any.
Have several half finished projects on my desk at the moment really need to complete something LOL but the sun keeps shining and the garden calling.

Hi everyone, I finished the friendship album, I have never done one so fast, but the result is good and my godaughter loves it ,so her friend will have a lovely surprise....Now I can concetrate on my cards,
Sarah, it can be soul destroying when the cards are slow in selling, I think folk see the words handmade and dont expect to pay much for them....yet they will happily pay huge amounts to buy one which is duplicated many times.....good luck ....
and good luck to you Scatty with your house hunting,

Jean x

Thanks Ann, its an exciting but scary time lol - we are going to view some houses in Easter Compton and some other areas near where Mags is. The house stays reasonably tidy as its only me and Rick here and our three cats, although one is long haired, they haqve now been banned from the main bedrooms, the good thing is we have wooden floorboards all downstairs so a quick clean each day , the stairs has a really light carpet so that needs a hoover and cream carpets in the bedrooms, we have just had them cleaned so they look good. The messy bit os where I sit and do my crafts lol.
The house we viewed at Thornbury we have decided is a no.no needed a bit too much work.
It was lovely and sunny this morning is now grey and overcast - been so cold all week
Love to you all xx

Sarah, I think we all need to do that sometimes don't we? Craft just for us. I don't sell my cards but it must be frustrating to only sell one. Have you ever tried selling on line?

Jan, good luck with the house, I hope it sells quickly for you. Horrible time because you have to keep it tidy in case anyone wants to view. One house we sold belied that. \we had just had Sunday lunch, pre dishwasher times, all the washing up over the kitchen which smelled of cooking a roast and veg. \And they bought it.
