Sue I looked at them and the first one memorykeepsakes.co.uk?acatolog/military.html
had a union jack page and RAF rondels etc, I didn't look further but saw the UK pages and thought it was OK. I agree the others were American though.

I've had a look at those sites Ann and they are too American. We have military papers here in Oz and I think I can adapt them. I can use olive and khaki cardstock and see how I go. Thanks for your help.

Good luck finding a printer Sallie. The HP is a good one.

Hello all..

Sallie...the printer is a Hewlett Packard Photosmart Plus B209. It is the best printer we have ever had especially for photos.

Ann I have put the memory keepers site in my favourites....they have some lovely papers I especially like the Shadow Box paper in the heritage section. Thank you.

Good luck SueMaid.

Hi Everyone,

We are looking for a new printer and one that can also print photos.
Just read your post LindaB and the printer you have sounds like what we need. So if it isn't too cheeky, please could I ask which printer you have.

At the moment both my son and daughter also need a new printer, so as C---T, are selling some of their printers 3for2, we thought we'd take advantage of the offer.

Thank you, Sallie.

A few sites you could try Sue:
memorykeepsakes.co.uk?acatolog/military.html

www.servicememories.com

www.creatingmilitarymemories.com

The last two are more slanted towards the American military but you might find something.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks Ann - you're very kind.

Ladies I'm hoping someone can help me. I want to do some pages honouring my father and great grandfather's time in the British Army in WW1 and WW2. I would like to know if anyone knows of any papers and/or embellishments that have a military theme that I can send for over the internet. Because of the time difference please know that I'm not being ignorant if I don't answer straight away. Thanks ladies:-))

Oh dear Ann...I hope your dear OH didn't distract your concentration for too long!

Panic over thank goodness....we left the sim card at the photographer's today whilst we went on to do some further shopping and he has retrieved all the photos....some 480....and has saved them on CD for me. I am one happy bunny! Dear OH has also added Picasa on this newish computer so now raring to go!

You can take out a subscription to Scrapbook Magazine. But at £4.50, as you say, a lot of it is going to be repetitive and pages of ideas for a scrap page. I like to buy them occasionally to kick start my brain. The best thing is if you can find a club where scrappers get together to meet and exchange ideas. Unfortunately there isn't one in my area. That is one reason I started this thread and it was great when we had a couple of people who were more experienced than I am, we could bounce ideas off them. Unfortunately we seem to have lost them both now.

The DoCrafts book, which is usually available in craft shops like Hobbycraft and The Range called docrafts creativity, which used to just feature card making, has started a scrap book section. I think there may be an on line forum as well. I will check it out.

We can answer questions on here but there is nothing like seeing a few pictures to get the imagination going. I am always happy to send a photo or two of pages done if people want to see them.

I have got a few books I have picked up along the way and do refer to them occasionally as well. Garden centres often have them reasonably cheap.

Is it possible to take out any subscriptions to these magazines? or do they end up repeating themselves with little in the way of new ideas?

I too miss Scrapbook Inspirations Ann and can only occasionally pick up Scrapbook Magazine usually when I am near a Smiths and that is not very often. I am amazed considering how popular scrapbooking is that there are no other publications on this hobby...card makers, knitters and jewellery makers seem so well catered for these days.

I do miss the Scrapbook inspirations magazine and can rarely find a copy of Scrapbook Magazine. Mind you I did find a copy when in Hampshire at Christmas and was amazed to see it is £4.50, phew a lot of money.

Hello everyone..

Hi Ann...I use to always download photos from my camera straightaway until we bought a new scanner/printer last year. Apart from being able to print and photo copy on A4 as normal this printer has an intergral photo printer which only takes 6 x 4 photo card and prints photos just like the photo printers that you can buy ie Kodak.....if that makes sense. Anyway I have been going through all my old emails sent to family and I have managed to salvage a few and we are going over to Northwich at the weekend to see if the professionals can salvage the rest. I am absolutely hopeless with gadgets!

We have Picasa on our old computer and I found it great for cropping and the I feel lucky feature especially on the old sepia family photos.

Hi Pammy..if you are looking to buy online please may I suggest that you look on the ukscrappers website... http//www.ukscrappers.co.uk/ I joined the site a little while ago....and have ordered stash from a couple of their sponsers without any problem. I don't join in the forums GR is enough for me lol. Just watch out for the postage charges...some are cheaper than others.

Well I was certainly had at Smith's...reading the copy of the Scrapbook Inspirations book today I find it is an edition from last summer and all the free downloads are now not available. That will teach me lol.
