Two good ideas there Jude, thank you. I have a small tray with a 'spout' at the end, I use this for glitter etc (I think it is meant for small beads) it works quite well.

Linda I have suffered with my back for many years but if I overdo the lifting it is worse for a few days. Not too bad now thank goodness.

Jean, well done on finishing the album, have a couple of weeks off now.

Suemaid, that sounds as if it will be a lovely happy bright album to look at.

Before you open the salt/pepper pot make sure you give it a few taps on the table to make sure all the glitter goes down into pot, or you'll have alot of loose glitter gathering at the top and it will fly away!!....to put glitter back into a pot roll some paper into a tube shape to make a funnel, sellotape the sides and hey presto:o)

Hello everyone..

Oh dear Ann I am sorry to hear you have had a bad back...I hope it is much easier now.

Jean you have been so busy you put me to shame! Only one page done this year!!

Jude what a good idea...I have the small flat tubs of ultra fine glitter with pepper pot tops which I use occasionally. The tubs are fine when adding the glitter but a nightmare each time to get the tops off to put back the surplus. Great.. thanks.

We went over to the local craft centre the other day to buy a handcrafted card for a new baby (I haven't tried cardmaking yet) and just by chance, talking to the shop owner, I found that you can use Marianne Designs dies (I have to say I have never heard of them before) with the Cuttlebug. I picked up a snowflake die for Christmas/Winter pages when I get round to it.

Morning:o))

If anyone uses glitters in those tiny tubes and flat tubs you might like this idea.........l use the old fashioned type salt and pepper pots, they are 39p in w----'s, the glass one with white tops:o) The main thing about them is that when you have finished sprinkling and you put it down, it does'nt fall over cause it has a flat bottom:o))

Take care

Hello everyone - my daughter, her OH and children came home from a beach holiday (I know you're jealous) with a load of wonderful photos. I was going to do a page for each of the children's albums but decided to do a 'holiday album' for them all to look at.

The colours in the photos are lovely and bright so I've been to my local scrapbook shop and bought some nice 'beachy' paper. I'm going to enjoy making this album.

gemqueen was it any use to you, it looked like a good outline map, you could use a road map to pinpoint the actual places.

Dont' know if it may be of interest to anyone but I noticed in TK. M**X yesterday, large scrapbook sets for £7, I don't do it but it seemed a good price so thought I'd add here... didn't have time to look properly lol accompanied by two teenage boys :)

Hi Gemqueen, I didn't have any luck googling either. Have you got a road map book with a map of UK that you could trace? A bit difficult I know. I'll have another think.

Hi
Have been poorly so no scrapbooking for past 2 weeks.
Can anyone suggest where I can obtain an outline map of the UK I can use to pinpoint where OH has been on hols for his album please? Ideally one showing the county borders and big enough to fit 12 x 12 page. I have 'googled' but nothing appropriate so far. Off to catch up on H*******k as I haven't been able to do any for over 10 days so may not look in till later tonight.
Thanks
Di

Nobody crafting? I bet Jean is busy doing her memory book. I have been trying to sort some of my Family History stuff so scrap booking had to take a back seat.

Back not too bad although just back from town. Between us we took four more carrier bags of hard backed books to charity shops then went to the outlet shops at Glos docks where i manged to get a waterprook coat/jacket, the sort I use for shopping, in Klass for £36. I had a lot of trouble finding a coat with an inside pocket. I find it is much easier not to have the problem of a handbag, with the possibility of it being snatched and to have my large purse/cards etc in my inside pocket of my coat. But very few ladies coats are made with inside pockets these days. Usually only walking coats. anyway I got a nice red one. Then we had lunch in Wetherspoons. (I think we have shares in that place.)

Ann, hope your back is easier now, I have managed to get some more pages done in the album, and made some cards too....quite enjoying experimenting with different papers and punches. vertigo permitting....so far..... little by little. I do get withdrawl symptoms if I dont manage to do something crafty... hope everyone is well and crafting away....

love Jean xx

Ann - I had a good look at the Memory Keepsakes site and it has some stuff that I can adapt and use. I'm very grateful to you for giving me the website. Thank you so much.
