Linda, what camera do you have? A lot depends on how good the camera is. Does your camera have a zoom?
When you say your photos are not as good do you mean not as sharp? or not as well composed?
What sort of editing do you have on your pc for photos?

If the photos are not sharp they either may not be in focus or the camera may have 'shaken'. If the latter try to brace your elbows against your body when taking, or lean on a wall or something. Of course we should all use a tripod but I don't suppose we do. Would you believe I can't find mine anywhere so that shows I don't use it.

Anyway, let us know the problem, or even send me a photo of yours and I'll try and help. Let me know if you have not got my e mail because you will need to e mail the photo to me.

Hi all, Linda thank you for your kind words, I always view the pic I want to take from various angles, when I was learning photography many many moons ago...lol.... I was told to use a card frame to look through before taking the actual pic, and it is still in use today sometimes the different views show an entirley different aspect of your subject, of course different cameras make a difference too.the new ones these days are very good so you dont get a lot of camera shake, practice practice practice is the answer, but now doubt our lovely Ann will have more advice her pics are always spot on...
re; cardmaking, if you can scrap you can make cards, so go for it , what have you got to lose, be sure we get to see them please happy crafting...

AG I have some pages out of a scrap book mag you are welcome to have if you want p.m. me your addy and I will send them on...you will get hooked in no time there are some pages on Anns blog and I have some 8x8 pics to send so you can see how easy it is ,

I have just checked on the blog there are so many very pretty cards...I am not a card maker but they really inspire me to have a go.

I also took a look on your blog Jude...why can't I take such good photos as you all can! I take loads however only come up with a couple of really good ones. Just wondering if anyone can help with any tips?

Jean...I hope your MRI goes well...so sorry to hear that you are not well. I just wanted to say your photo of Conway is amazing. Although we have stopped off there so many times each year since heavens knows when....on the way home from Anglesey...we have never ever been in the castle!! There is nothing like the local fish and chips eaten on the harbours edge is there and the seagulls have become such scavingers over the years...easy food for them now I guess lol.

Yes Jude its L22, 12 pixels 5 zoom, would have liked a bigger zoom , but it was a good deal, and its a lovely little size, I love it although to be fair I havent really done much with it other than take photos of cards....lol...but one can hope....

Your camera, is it nikon coolpix....or does it have a number after coolpix??

4th of April but unless something is wrong I wont here anything for a week or so.... just need to get it over and done with....

Hope you can get there Jean North Lake District is magnificent, long time since we drove up there. last time it was all covered in snow and the scenery was wonderful.
