Hi Ann,

We sent 4attachments Ann, the first three with five on and the fourth with two. So goodness knows how that happened.....I'll get Alun to look at it later on, when he gets home from work and had his dinner.

Thanks for letting me know.

Moonbi Congratulations on your Great nephew, another little bud on your tree. Hope you find a big improvement when you get your new 'eyes'. What is that in UK pounds do you know?

New cards on the blog from Sallie. Now there is a lady with a lot of good ideas. I think I might 'pinch' a couple of her ideas to get me started.

oh Christmas cards !
I havent begun those yet either. Infact Ive lost my mojo too. I still have a bout 5 left from last year so I must dig them out and see where I go from there.

Things is my eyes had been going funny, so I went the weekk ago to the optom, he did a very good exam, and I needed new lenses in. today I am going in to pick them up, but calling at the bank first as cant get 426 from the atm as my withdrawal has a lower ceilng on it.
another hole in my pocket this week, but I cant do without good eyesight.
my nephew and his wife in Adelaide had a new baby boy on the 28th. first grandson for my brother, who has one gdaughter

best wishes, annette xx

Well, I sat down and sorted through my stuff intending to start on Christmas cards, but the sun is shining and it is hot and I can find no inspiration whatsoever.

Moonbi, annette, how about a photo of the piece that you have done to show what fabric weaving, with pipped prairie points looks like? It doesn't have to be a finished quilt.

I am going to add quilting to the title of this thread.

"You want more? More! "

oh dear I can only sew one at a time.
however I do have another on the table, half done. well the top is almost finished, but I dont have any batting for it , or any backing fabric.
You see I blew my budget on getting my ancestors will and having 3 hours of research done from the NRO. which I havent paid for yet.

and then there is Christmas presents to get for my clan.

oh and I made one block of a pattern that my mother had made. Its the Pfaff "Field of Dreams design" And this one is a very long term project. this 36cm square block is using a feature called fabric weaving, with pipped prairie points. very slow going. and each block teaches a new technique within the design.
so I dont think this strip quilt is going to get finishes until next year
I hope Im not being too adventurous with this one, as i may never get it finished.

Hello Von....l did'nt look much further but will do:)
So pleased you found it interesting too:)
l woke this morning thinking about printing things on fabric...lol
Thing is it takes a while to line everything up so you don't keep wasting paper, ink and fabric!

l've cut out a plane template and transferred that to fabric (not this method though), l then marked where l wanted to sew, as in cockpit windows etc, made a mistake so rubbed it out with fairy liquid and toothbrush....and the navy colour ran....grrrrrr...l have a load of fabric soaking at the moment!! lbought the fabric from local shop that sell loads and loads of fabric just for quilting/apliqueing, so would have thought it would'nt run...be ware!!

Take care

Hi Ann
Have you found Cadbury yet? I went last weekend with my friend Caz we spent ages there - there was a demo of using distress inks that I quite like - I also had to stock up on christamassy bits - I also found a pets area that I hadnt seen before - with parrots, chicken, rabbits ect ideal to take Grandaughter too next time she visits
