Does your local craft cum fabric store have any embroidered embellishments?

here in Aus we have all sorts of designs and letters that you can stitch on to a jumper, or dress, or there are others that are iron on.

not much crafting/sewing being done here

the painter is coming next week, and I am busy packing out the rooms to give him space to paint.
In August Im going north to the coast, to get some sea air in my lungs.

Not heard of any Julia but I bet there are. Why not draw and cut out the letters in felt and sew on.

Morning Everyone. I would like to make some childrens bunting, eg hearts, for in their bedrooms. I would like it to spell each childs name, with a letter on each heart.
But, I am no good at embroidery, and wondered if there is anywhere, not on the net, where I could buy ready made letters.
Have you ever come across these on your travels.

Have you thought of contacting your local spinners and weavers guild? They might be able to steer you in the right direction however I don't know if the prices would be reasonable

I have joined a nightschool class for the autumn where we are going to make felted bags with bead flowers on them. To do the felting we have to use pure wool and I wondered if anyone knew where to get pure wool at a reasonable price? I will only need about 150 grams. In the meantime I am scouring the charity shops.....loads of acrylic mixes but no pure wool. :-S

I have deleted a couple off the beginning so have added a few new ones.

OK I have deleted Lynski's original ones and added four of the ones she has reduced in size. The ones I have chosen are my favourites but if Lynski wants me to swap them and showcase others in their place I will. I have also put one of my cards on.

I guess there isn't a lot of space left but I will continue until it is full again. Perhaps if we can just send a couple or three of our best makes it will keep going for longer. I think I had something of Annx's somewhere I shall have to look. :-)

Thanks Jude, I wondered about the photos. Most of the photos on there are not mine though. I think Lynskis may be too big so I will try deleting them. My blog does have a lot of pages so I wasn't surprised that it was full.

AnnG...check your scrap book blog,l have just added the poem from SilverBuddy.
Also my puter neighbour was just here and he thinks maybe the photo's that are downloaded are too big hence maybe why you have no space left. My blog has been going for a few years and no problems, so maybe l use the right size (miracle if that is the case...lol)...l do sometimes use 'Microsoft Office picture manager' and go to edit where you can alter the size of photo's.

Thank you for the card bits and pieces, I was very pleased as I managed to make a card like yours. Just trying to get ideas for OH's now, trouble is, this wet weather curtails golf a bit so doesn't give me much time to make his.

Hi Ann and everyone just catchung up now the laptop is up and running again, so guess what i have been doing while its been away.... I managed a few cards , and did some christmas ones too....lol... well one has to get ahead of things dont you think....lol...very quiet on here I see that last post was in june, so what has every one been up to? any news on a new blog Ann, so I am now open for business all remarks gratefully recieved .
