Jean, I saw that you have a holiday booked in October so you do have something to look forward to.
I did see somewhere that when you run out of idea look around your home and see if there is anything that would make a page "my favourite......) or "my kitchen/lounge" etc. Or what about your garden, one beautiful flower?

Sallie, that is lucky that your OH can be entertained in hobbycraft as well!!! Mine usually increases my spending by finding things that I will just have to use. He does actually spot bargains so can't complain and these days knows the sort of things I use.

Hi All,
Just popped on to say hello to you all--hope you all enjoyed your weekend.
I've been out quite a lot over the last four days. We went to Derby yesterday and managed to pick up a few embelishments in The Works. Today went to Hobbycraft and picked up a few bits.
Hubby, is in to model railways so he was upstairs looking at bits for his layout which takes over half of our utility room, and I was down looking for a few things for the 80th Birthday scrapbook.

I'll speak to you all tomorrow, as it's nearly my bedtime.

Love, Sallie.x

Ann, you are getting carried away with the muti photos, but they always look so good, just let me see them please, I have been out trying to get some more, but the rain beat me, that and J wanting to watch all the sports on t.v.

I am off on another multiple photo page, 14 photos 2x3 on one page of my birthday day. No really good photos just a selection taken on the day. Still at the planning stage, got the photos matted so far and chosen the backing paper. Got to do some journalling now.

Hi Jean

Yes, I do the lottery quite often....

Just finished a double page of my son's driving day with the Aston Martin V8 Vantage - must be on the same wavelength as you Jean as its black and red!! I'll take a photo and send it across to you.

I've used an idea from Scrapbooking Trends (page 49 Ann) where she did a montage of photos. Ann's passion for lots of photos on a page has started to rub off on me - 10 photos on a double page spread!! I'm very pleased with this one though.

JustJean Report 16 Aug 2009 14:03

Aw, Thanks Dee, I presume you do go on the Lottery ?...lol....I didnt phrase that very well. I thought you might be kidding me as I have never had a go on the lottery, maybe I should try then I could buy you one ....LOL.....

Hi Ladies

Like Ann, I'm off to Tesco to get some bits in ready for when the lads get back from the truck racing - salad I expect so I don't have to spend too much time away from the craft room!!!

Then I'm shutting myself away and getting serious with the scrapping!!

Jean, if ever win the lottery the Workbox is yours!!!!

Morning all, Off out for a walk. but back before lunch, football all afternoon... I shall do a bit of experiments on the scrapbook papers, just got a lot of different bits and pieces, so watch this space lol...
have a nice day.... Dee, the storage is wonderful, I have looked at it for quite a while, only thing lots of the fitments are extra, the complete box is very expensive, if I had seen it years ago, I would have got one , but dont do that much now, still if someone would like to buy it for me I wouldnt say no....

Linda that page sounds great, red and black can be so effective, nice to be so pleased with it too.

What is everyone doing today then.
I am going to Tesco first then I will decide.

I can spend hours just looking at a page before deciding I like it...I will leave it and keep coming back to it !! I love just about everything to do with scrapping to be honest lol.

I have finally finished a page using the swirl that I copied on to my pc...Scrapbook Inspirations, July issue, page 58, the green swirl on the top picture. I enlarged it to half an A4 page....so it virtually takes up the far right hand side of my 12 x 12 page overlapping the photo. The photo is of my 2x gt grandfather and 6 of his 13 children taken c1912...one of his sons in uniform. The page is red and black so not to everybody's taste but it does look quite dramatic and I am so pleased with it!! I am now going to go through my stack of magazines to find more patterns that I can also use.

See what your thread has done for me Ann lol.

Have a lovely scrapping day tomorrow NinjaLady.

Linda x

Sallie, thank you, yes I had a lovely day.

Ninjalady, I will look at that tomorrow when I have more time, nearly bed time now for me. I have looked at that page, somebody after my own heart. 16 photos, more than I had even!!

Have just been browsing this site

http://www.storage4crafts.com/shopx/home.php

Click on 'the Original Scrapbox' and then check out the Vanilla Workbox. This is now on my ultimate wishlist - all my scrapbook storage needs in one well organised cupboard. I NEED one!!!! It might actually be a pleasure to put my stash away if I had one of these........

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 15 Aug 2009 21:20

Why is it easier to get all the stash out than it is to put it away. And isn't it annoying when, after you have just finished a page, you find what would have been the perfect embellishment for it that you missed when you were looking?

CherryBlossom

CherryBlossom Report 15 Aug 2009 21:16

Probably the next best bit then is choosing the papers and embellishments. It gives me the chance to go through my whole (extensive) stash and stroke every bit of paper/card, play with colour combinations, look through all the boxes of chipboards, ribbons, beads and then play with my Cricut to sort out titles. The downside to this is having to put it all away again after!! And then of course there is the inevitable trip to the craft shop as you can guarantee that you haven't got the right shade of card or the perfect embellishment.

After that my favourite bit is the journalling and working out to tell the story of the photos.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 15 Aug 2009 21:03

That sounds as if it will be good Ninja Lady. Love black and white and sepia photos for an 'old' feel. Haven't read all the magazine yet, making it last, it is very good, not sure I can afford that much every month though.

I suppose photos have to be our first love as we wouldn't be scrapbooking with out them, but what is your next favourite bit then?
