Lol Daff, thank you, still laughing!
I thought you had been and gone and come back!!
I haven't got very far this morning either, sorted out a backing page (I think), chose three photos, just sitting here occasionally sneaking a glance to see if I still like it!

Well, by popular demand..... here is something I made earlier, lolol (well, one of the very early presenters on Blue Peter was a rellie of mine... we shared our surname, even!!)
Are you sitting comfortably? I have a little story!
*A day in the life of a Novice Scrapper*
I did little bits of lots of things yesterday.... a bit of deadheading, and *glances at Ann, lol* a bit of *sticking* and yep... got it all over me!!
I tidied my sock drawer... wanted a particular pair to cheer me up, and knew they were in there.... somewhere!! All is now nice and tidy, and colour co-ordinated... well, sort of!
Then I started some washing... put some in tumble dryer... emptied, then filled the dishwasher... put away some of the clothes that are normally kept in the *spare* room so were languishing sulkily on top of the chest of drawers in our room.... sorted out my new printer... which had decided not to come out to play... but that was because *glares at Polgara* a certain cat has taken to investigating behind the unit!! Had to move everything to plug it back in, Grrrr!!!
Printed off some photos..... took some of the toys that Princess played with.... collaged then printed those off... then cut them all up... laid out a page.... dismantled an old photoframe to get a template for the main photo....... didn't like it... so tarted up the frame and popped the photo into it... looks lovely on my desk... then printed another photo... decided it was too big... dug out another empty photo frame, tarted it up with a couple of Princess embellishments...popped in photo... it looks lovely in littlies bedroom.......
back to scrapbook page, still empty, still forlorn looking..... I am still covered in glue... can't see the table for boxes of goodies, have now got about a square inch of space to work in........ half the clothes are still on the chest of drawers, even sulkier than they were before... mind, the sock drawer looks lovely! ;¬)) the tumble dryer has decided it wants to play up... I de-fluff it and IT stops sulking.......
Decide I don't like the background paper........ catches sight of the bright and cheerful Easter paper I bought cheep... errr I mean cheap, lol Sorry... couldn't resist!!
Re- arranged everything...... using lovely, cheerful home-made type factory paper in bright colours........ spent hours cutting out little ovals...... don't like them!!
Jethro wants his dinner... and scatters everything on the floor...
I yell at Jethro... pick everything up, then go and feed the trainee tigers....
R comes home... where oh where has the time gone?? By now it is 8.30 pm, no dinner on... nothing has been completed....... the house is a complete mess with bits of *stuff* scattered.... I have lost my reading glasses... stop giggling Ann!!...... and am reduced to wearing my computer glasses...... and I am STARVING!!!
R cooks sausage egg and chips, lol..... I am too knackered after my busy day... but I proudly show him my photoframes, and the new layout.... all that is glued down is the page edging, in lilac to match madam's t-shirt.
He looks suitably unimpressed, raises one eyebrow in a way he has, and turns telly on...
I fall into bed at 9.30, after a busy and uneventful day, wondering how one person (me!!) can make sooooo much mess without really even trying!
Well... I have got a shopping list now...... must go and do some serious shopping, some glue (I had a terrible time with those glue dots!) some felt for clouds, and something quick and easy for dinner!
Now.... it would seem that this is a familiar scenario???????
I really must go now……I need some more templates, and spare blades for the cutter thingy... that thick paper doesn't half kill a blade, doesn't it??? Lolol……. I am sure I shall find other stuff to buy…. And you aren’t far wrong on the other thread, Ann….. I am quite likely to be stuck to the pages of one of my creations, lolol
I did notice yesterday that my hands still have a bit of a tremble when trying to do really fine stuff, and I am a little awkward holding things… I shall have a looksee if there are any suitable tongs out there… I have dug out a spare pair of tweezers to be going on with.
Oh…. And today is no easier than it was yesterday, lol…… it is why I am still here and not out shopping yet!!
Love
Daff xxxxxx

Glad I am not the only one who has trouble knowing what to leave out, never was a less is more person. Sarah we seem to have opposite problems. I have just nearly completed a page of our garden with 4 photos and thought I was being good having cut down the number of photos.

Oh Daff - the photos sound lovely.
Good luck with your pages - I would suggest scrapping each event separately - one double page for the garden, one for the merry-go-round, etc - well, that's what I would do if they were my photos.
The idea of using her drawings as the background is brilliant!! Must remember that one.

I am about to embark on my first double page spread, lolol
My problem is what to leave out... I do tend to be a more is best sort of girl, lolol
I have some stunning photos of my granddaughter, aged 3, watering the plants, intense concentration in every line of her... you can't see her face in many of them, but that seems to add to the enchantment!! I wanted to call that *The Prettiest Flower in my Garden*
But then there was our trip to Barry Island.... some lovely ones of her on the merry go round..........
And then there are the ones of her playing on her sand and water tray.....
I don't want the pages to be too busy....
but I don't want to miss anything out... so it may be *a page a day* lol.... and I shall use the scans of her drawings to add as backgrounds......
well... off to give it a whirl!!
Love

Hi Ann
No I was kind to my friends and only ordered very small, lightweight items. However, they got the shock of their life when they picked the stuff up from Walmart - two HUGE boxes!! Luckily Walmart were generous with their packing but they'd put two 6"x12" cutting boards for the Cricut in one extremely large box. My friends almost had a heart attack when they saw the size of the box and wondered how on earth they were going to get the stuff back - until they opened it and saw what was inside.
And yes, it was much cheaper to do it this way - the Cricut cartridges are something like £55.00+ over here and Walmart were charging $60.00 which is something like £37.50. Fortunately Mike goes to America quite a lot so I'll probably repeat the exercise later this year.
Can't wait to get home from work and have a play with my new toys. Did one more little page for my grandmother's box album yesterday - her wedding photo in 1941. I must have her over to tell me all the stories of these photos so I can write them up and put them on the back of the pages.
About 15 years ago we went up to Heathrow for the day as OH's brother-in-law had bought his parents a flight + lunch on Concorde for their wedding anniversary. I couldn't believe how noisy it was when it took off!!

We went onboard the concorde test plane at the Fleet Air Arm Museum and were amazed at how compact the interior was.
I'm really pleased that my latest bout of scrapping included three pages with two photos on each. I think i am really getting back in to the idea of putting more photos on my pages after ages of concentrating on just one.

Well done Jean, glad you got a good nights sleep.
Ninja Lady, hope they didn't have to pay for extra luggage Lol!!! Did it work out a lot cheaper? When we last went the pound was very strong and I got some great craft bargains at Walmart.
Linda, sounds like a day full of memories and well worth scrapping, I too would love to see the pages when you have done them. My Grandsons used to love taking photos when they were younger (well the oldest still does and he is now 21.

Hello everyone..
We had such a brilliant day out with our grandsons I just had to tell you.
We took them to the Manchester Airport Aviation Viewing Park...the highlight of the day was to be able to view and board THE Concorde G-BOAC in its specially built hanger. Each family party was given a Concorde boarding pass.
We were sat in the front seats whilst the tour guide (who was absolutely brilliant) told us all about the old bird. During his talk he told my eldest grandson that he was sitting in the seat that was always used by the Queen! There was a young boy of about 12 sat behind us with his granddad and he was told that he was sitting in the seat that Michael Jackson always sat in....you should have seen his face it was a picture.
I had my camera at the ready however my eldest grandson J decided he was in charge of the camera...he loves taking photos and he took some really good ones!! I have strict instructions to download and print out asap lol so he can put them on his bedroom wall along with the boarding pass! J had never heard of the Concorde before but he really thought it was so "cool"!! I will be able to get a lovely couple of pages out of the photos using 3 or more on each page...a first for me...plus a copy of the boarding pass and the entry receipt into the park itself.
Linda

Ooh lucky us - we're all having nice craft deliveries tonight. My friends have just come back from Florida with lots of goodies from Walmart for me. Before they left I ordered online so they could pick it up in store for me - deep cut housing and blades for the Cricut so I can cut chipboard, replacement normal blades, replacement cutting mats and a couple of font cartridges plus a cartridge for die cutting things like butterflies, snowflakes and other accent die cuts. I'm a very happy bunny now!
Can't wait to have a play tomorrow.
