Westonbirt and Tetbury are both lovely to visit. Glad you like the page anyway, it seemed to come together very easily.

Finished my anniversary day out page and I quite like it. The backing paper, although you can't see a lot of it, is one of the photos of pink leaves printed on two sheets of ordinary A4 paper. Used 9 small (2.5x3 photos and two slightly bigger put together to look like one of the two of us.

Well, I hope that Daff is now inspired, loved that page Daff, very vibrant and 'child like' And that is not an insult, it captures the essence of childhood, great!!!

Working on the Anniversary page now Daff, matting the photos first.

Really must get down to doing another page soon. Neglected it a bit lately as so much else to do.

Wish I* could have found such a bargain at the flea fair we went to this morning, loads, well hundreds of stalls but nothing of interest to me sadly.

Well, oldest son was really taken with the scrapbook page in the box frame. Just need to do one now for his wife for her birthday in November to make a pair!

Have had a play this morning with the Zutter binding machine I bought in the flea market sale last weekend - brilliant little machine. I made a 20 page mini album which is beautifully ring bound and awaits filling with photos. A definite bargain....

Dee, what a lovely idea, I like it much better than just a photo in a frame, and of course you can add any comments too....thanks for sending it...

Jean - have emailed the photo of the box frame across to you.

Jean - I'll take a photo tomorrow before I give it to son for his birthday. In fact I may need to take two as the glass might cause a problem. Anyway, it's just a photo frame (from The Range) that is 12x12 and about 1/2" deep between the back of the frame and the glass to allow for 3d embellishments.

The frames are in the picture/frame section of The Range, not the scrapbook/craft section.

Off for an Indian now with friends - after such an eventful day I'm happy just to go to bed. Perhaps there are limits to the life in this granny after all!

Dee I am intrigued about the deep box frame, any chance of a photo, please,

Ann, here I am again asking for a look at your latest photos, you know how I am with photos....we are having such awful weather here, no use even thinking about going out to get new scenes... keeping fingers x for end of Sept when we are away, hope there will be a late indian summer.....

Typical - no-one got a photo of me!! How did I feel? Relieved I didn't

a) scream
b) wet myself in sheer terror (that would have been an embarrassing scrapbook page!)

There's still life in this granny!!

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 29 Aug 2009 17:19

And how did you feel afterwards Dee? And di anyone get a photo of that???

CherryBlossom Report 29 Aug 2009 17:14

Blimey Jean, that was a serious mission!!!

Just got back from Thorpe Park - 16th birthday treat for youngest son. Have some lovely photos of him and his two girlie friends to scrapbook and managed to find some badges for the Saw ride which I can use on the page, plus some little name badges for son and his friends.

The amazing thing was I actually went on a rollercoaster for the first time ever (I'm usually such a scaredy cat) - Stealth which goes 0-80 in 2.3 seconds goes vertical 205 feet and then straight down again. OH was totally amazed that I even agreed to try it and I've achieved a whole new level of respect from teenage son......

Hello all,
Gosh Jean thatw as a big spring clean, hope you didn't wear yourself out. Not scrapping today as we are working on part of the garden, hoping to make it more labour saving seeing as it was getting a bit much.

JustJean

JustJean Report 29 Aug 2009 07:02

Hello, everyone, I havent been doing much scrap wise, we are hoping to have a new kitchen , so thought I would sort the cupboards out before hand, less to do when we get it.... cant believe what stuff I was saving ....why.....
so I got the bug and started sorting book shelves, my craft stuff, bedroom, cleared the cupboards in the bathroom, got rid of so many towels, now my daughter has decided to do her bedroom and office out too.....not before time.... only trouble is all the throw away stuff ends up in the little conservatory which is were I do my crafting, wish I had never started.....
hope you all are having better luck,

Mottisfont is the one I meant, we really must get there one day.

Mottisfont is beautiful. I have been there many times(about 1hr from home). The gardens are lovely with huge trees and the rose gardens are their main talking point, especially in June when they open late in the evening for the perfumes to be appreciated. Not managed that yet myself.

I have taken young children that I childmind and my own parents, Mum in a wheelchair. We all loved it.

The house is smallish and all on the ground floor too so easy.

Do visit if you get a chance.

Linda :o) XxX
